The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I had a problem with my padlock and they helped me solve it immediately without charging any fee. The breakfast is good with the menu changing everyday. The location is good: 15-minute walking to Malioboro street and also 15-minute walking to main attractions in town such as Water Palace and Sultan's Palace. Recommend it to everybody :). The 4-bed family room is so spacious that one can stand upright even on the upper deck of the bunker bed. Although the best restaurants concentrate around Jalan Malioboro and Jalan Sosrowijayan, there are many interesting local food stalls along Jalan Kh. Ahmad Dahlan. But please be reminded of the ubiquitous MSG, and ask the chef not to add MSG ("tanpa vetsin") :).
all reviews » Location was very convenient, really close to everything. The facilities are great, it looks and feels like a hotel, just with dorms, it even has a very nice rooftop pool!! Breakfast was big and a great kickstart for your day, and staff spoke good english and very helpful. This is a really nice place for those who go with low budgets, it's comfortable, nice location, very accessible. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to visit jogja for sure. As a backpacker, I appreciated staying in a place where there were also locals. The staff is awesome, friendly. The hôtel is well located (10min walking to Malioboro street) - Beds are confortable and rooms are clean. We stayed for two nights, excellent facilities and friendly staffs. I enjoyed my stay there. It's a big hostel with parking. Very good value for money. And friendly helpfull stuff. Me and my friends had a really good time there. The staff helped us with everything. This is one of the most comfortable place I have stayed in. I like the TV area where I could sit on the beanbags and watch TV. There was a bathroom in the room. Rooftop is awesome. It has a beautiful view and a small swimming pool. Rooftop of the floor have a sitting pool (not swim) easy to find. Wifi is available only at ground level so it's rather inconvenient, especially when there may be many people online at the same time because the connection becomes slow. There is only one plug for each person in the room and yet, it's inside the locker. The hostel may improve by installing wi-fi on every floor. Currently it is only available at the lobby, which is fairly inconvenient. WiFi coverage only on the first floor, not in the dorms. Nothing, it's a great place. wi-fi only in the lobby area. while peak time the connection was really slow. It is a little far from the town. About 20 minutes walk to Malioboro street. The bathroom smell bad and the aircon in the room not cold. wi fi is veeery poor, the computers in the lobby work bad. wifi only in lobby area. none so far. Internet was only avaliable in the lobby. Staff could work on their English. A lot of school children around. Wifi only lobby. Staff is confused about the breakfast inculcated milk or not? :). thebby is too hot.
