Very close to the Monkey Forest (walking distance); lots of shops nearby, including a supermarket; full kitchen; very friendly owner

Shower drain was located so that water ran from one end of the bathroom to the other, and since there was no ventilation it just stayed wet

Clean and large. It was great for a overnight stay. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Short walk to restaurants and shopping. For a simple room its good value. Was great talking to the owner.

A brilliant spot. Fantastic staff, fantastic room ( large and super clean with a huge bathroom). Breakfast is superb and cooked fresh when ever you woyld luke to eat.This place really is value for money and I wish we stayed here longer. Thanks pondok frog

Newman and his family are the nicest people. Always there to make sure everything is fine! The pancakes in the morning are yummy! It was very clean and no mosquitos which was our biggest fear!

Very friendly and calm family hostel, good breakfast, rooms are well equipt and clean, close to the monkey forest and the main shopping area.

The only disadvantage is the noise, bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to it.

The staff and owner of this hotel is so excellent. The services and breakfast are good. The toilet are clean.

There are no hot water, and the water volume are so small. Besides, there are so many mosquito that make us unable to sleep well at night. The floor are dirty.

The guest house is well located, far away from the noise of the center but really close of all POI. Lovely people working there. Good breakfast.

The family that has the guesthouse is very sweet and friendly,they made me feel very comfortable there and they tried their best to help me when i asked them anything.The breakfast is very good and filling,you have choices.You can use the washing machine for free.The location is very central thus convenient for most of things of interest for tourists.

There was a couple of days that the room was very humid probably because of the rain.No problem for the rest of the days though.Also the place is a little noisy cause it's near a main street but i guess this is the price you pay for staying central.

We had two wonderful days at Pondok. The owners were just wonderful, so friendly and could not do enough for us. They even allowed us to buy a painting that we loved that was on our bedroom wall. He has a friend who is a painter and has a number of his paintings for sale. He took it down off the wall, took it off the frame and got already for us so that we take it in the plane home with us. Divine breakfast with the best banana pancakes ever.

I liked the family who runs the place. They are very friendly (even the children are very friendly), super helpful (when my camera broke down the owner, Mr. Nyoman, lend me his for free...it really saved my day.), they are also very accommodating and offers advice truthfully about people and places. The breakfast was delicious, it is served fresh by Ne-Wayan ( the wife) and always with a smile. The place is not too far from Ubud Center and is very quite.

Nyoman, the owner, and his wife are very friendly and offer good service. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfasts.

The place was being extended and there was building going on while we were there.

This is not a tourist experience, this is more like a homestay. It was the perfect place to stay for a month, as there was free drinking water, laundry and a brand new kitchen access. I really made myself at home. The family will not push anything on you but will give great recommendations for anything you ask.

If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs to Ubud!

Able to expose Ubud by walking distance to the monkey forest,spa.shopping.arts.restaurants,famous Dirty Duck Restaurant,supermarket.Clean big room with king size bed.Able to experience Balinese life style.

If l have an option.I prefer room with aircond since the night l there was hot.

The family were very kind and let me use their washing machine to do laundry (for free). Okay kind of place just to sleep in.

The room smelled damp, even with the window open and ceiling fan on. It wasn't really a room/place I wanted to just relax or hang out in.

People of the Guest house were nice even when we told them we could not stay because there was too much mosquitos in the bathroom.

Bathroom is humide attracting lot of mosquitos. No hot water and poor quality of the bathroom. We decided to quit the place after one night and found really better for just a little more expensive.

The place is dirty and tiny with no running water. Do not recommend this at all.
