The friendly staff at Semara always had a smile on their faces and a cheerful greeting for us. The resort was clean and the facilities were new. We liked the quiet, green and serene surroundings within the resort. Worlds apart from the noise outside! We hardly saw any other guests in the resort except at the pool area although there were lots staying there at the same time as we did. Great use of trees and plants to make each room seem so private!.
all reviews » After leaving our less-than-luxury accommodation in Ubud a night early, we couldn't have been more pleased with Semara. Location is PERFECT, right in the heart of Seminyak, rooms are spotless and comfortable, room service and restaurants are great. Staff went above and beyond. We only stayed for one night at the end of our holiday, so we didn't get a chance to take full advantage of everything Semara had to offer. We'll definitely be back!. We stayed at Semara in June. What a fabulous new resort in the heart of Seminyak - close to Potato Head, W Resort and lots of great cafes and restaurants. Although both restaurants at the resort were delicious and had entertainment most nights. The staff are all lovely and so helpful - nothing was to much for them. If you had kids the kids club looked amazing. We will definatley return and also recommend to our friends and family. Loved this place, when we checked in we luckily got upgraded to a fabulous room! I didn't want to leave. We got a free voucher for the spa also when we checked in, I ended up going 3 times it was so nice! The best Spa I have been to in Bali! Professional and mannerly staff.. I will definitely be going back for a visit!. The air conditioned room! The staff all around the resort including The Deck Restaurant staff & the spa staff were exceptional. Professional & friendly. We loved the friendly staff, the great food and the facilities. The beds were amazing and the kuds loved the pool and fruit juices. Location was fantastic, the staff was great, the food was amazing. Everything. Staff were amazing Thank you. This hotel is brand new and was very clean. The facilities are great, particularly the kids club which caters for kids from 2 years old. Great location too right in the middle of Seminyak. Food at both restaurants were of high quality and suited our western palates. Kids love the Indonesian buffet and dancing. The bathroom towels were old and obviously worn out. Time to change some new ones perhaps?. Maybe not GREAT for couples as the rooms are at very close quarters and lots of families - although in saying that, our room was right near the pool and I didn't get a chance to check out the rest of the rooms, so I could be wrong!. Our stay was not longer!. There is nothing that I did not like. The fact that checkout time was too early for late departure flights and that to retain room for an extra few hours (after 10 days accommodation) was at a cost seemed an inflexible and arrogant attitude. Some staff seemed to still be learning about hotel procedures but were very friendly.
