I was upgraded to a deluxe room, which was located on a high floor. The room was a bit small though, but quite comfortable. Breakfast is good and there is a cafe restaurant, which serves a well priced food. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism of the hotel staff. I happened to loose my iPod thinking that I lost it in a taxi cab, but I was informed by the hotel staff that I had left it at the hotel cafe. The iPod was then returned to me. Free Shuttle transfer to Mangga Dua area is useful. As we need it every day. I had booked superior room but during check-in they upgrade suite for me. It was very nice and clean. Staffs are very friendly. The location is a little tricky. Although the hotel situated near (20 mins walking distance) to major shopping places, but it is located within the lower residence district of Mangga Dua area and the area during nightlife are a little scary. We have to avoid walking during the night. The wait for lift took a little long & was even stuck in one of them for about 2 minutes. The room service was slow, and the housekeeping did change the towel even after 2 nights despite i clearly place the towel inside the bath tub. The hotel have good pool facility but somehow nobody was looking after it. I did not notice any counter to provide towel for the user despite the sign of only using the facility towel. The hotel was great but the location was a bit 'dump' I may say. It situated middle of no where with surrounding of local living area and you can find it a bit rough looking and dirty.. The fact that when we were given the key to our room we had to go back downstairs because it wasn't working 3 times. The room service food, the quantity was satisfying but the price/quality was low. I ate better satay for 2 dollars in the streets of Jakarta. There could be some improvement to make there. disturbing smell besides hotel area, the gutter giving dead rat smell. Hotel's management need to work with community to clean it if they want to attract more people to stay. This is the only reason people will not come back. If Hotel's management can do clean this along with community, this hotel could be the most favourite hotels in that area. Amir at reception was only talking to my boyfriend even though I made the reservation and I was paying. And I was handling the check-in. Very unwelcoming for women. The room service sucks, no menu in the room, asked for one, and received it the second day after asking for it for the 4th time(which the front desk helped to asked). And received a photocopy of it with the reason no more copies of menu. No wifi in room only in lobby and pool area. Cash deposit of 500000 idr, position is in an old quartier of jakarta (i got there at night And it seemed to be finished in a cosmic darkness) but not far with taxi from pusat (centre) or chinatown. Wifi is only limited to the lobby area. You can find mosquito everywhere while sitting at the lobby lounge area. You can reach the city from the hotel only by car. Staff at concierge will ask where u r going and will try to get u to take taxi from their hotel - most of them start @ idr 7500-9000 (White Horse / Silver Bird) - best is to say no politely n try to find Blue Bird Taxi idr 6000 - a short walk to main road will have u find plenty of blue bird - also blue bird taxi waiting at hotel will charge extra 5000 idr as some guest would order them n not turn up. Swimming Pool - it's freaking cold as hell - ok for a hot day. I dont like the buffee breakfast the quality is not good. bread is limeted and egg station to slowly,need time to get ommelet. The waiters not helpfully they just go around but not see what the guest need. The lobby have a lots of Mosquitos .. Probably because of the drainage system is not good.. Dirty and dark color drain. The location was in a suburb area. The ac wind straight to bed. WiFi only in lobby. Very slow elevators. Staff is very friendly although not always helpful. AC was very loud. It took couple of hours to repair it. Finally when AC was fixed man from receptions desk came at 2 a.m. !!! to move us to other room. The access to the hotel is narrow. Hotel is good, but the street outside is a little dirty. I didn't like the area along the way we walk to mangga besar the road are small and the drainage near by smelly. Free shuttle bus not suitable with the hotel status.. Location is far from the city.. The entrance from the main road to the hotel should be upgraded. The things i didn't like it no internet in the rooms which is to me a big problem, also the elevators are very slow you have to wait some time 3min. Unavailability of Internet in the room. waiting time for elevator. - food at the restaurant: they should definitely improve their restauraunt - wifi only in the lobby (where there are several mosquitos). No WiFi in the rooms And need CCTV best control becuse children play with bills from the rooms. Lifts with a mind of their own! Housekeeping not turning up even after being called three times. Not well known for taxi drivers. The location is not what we had expected.the street leading to the hotel is of poor quality. You can not realy. Go for a walk. The lifts were slow The western food was disappointing. The bad thing I didn't like is offering sex by massage section. When I requested massage I was expecting professional behaviors that reflect the reputation of the hotel, not nagging the guest for sex services. This thing made me so angry. The hotel should have more lefts.
