If I were to describe Sea Breeze in one word, it would be epic. I must admit that the arriving in the middle of the night was an addventure to say the least (very few lights around the roads!) but after we walked in to the garden all of our suspicions vanished. The place looked gorgeous even in the middle of the night and it truly was a treat to open the door every morning and just look at the spectacular view. all reviews » Everything, it is an ideal place to escape and relax. I liked breakfasts a lot - you can feed yourself untill evening dinner with fruits, outmeal, eggs, sandviches, pancakes... Before our journey I noted feedbacks about poor breakfast and was worried a little, but in the end it was beyond expectations - enough, fresh and tasty. We rented a bike and it took just 10 minutes to get center of Candidasa. Snorkeling in the morning just in few steps off the beach was wonderful!. Great view, coral reef right below. Very quite. Food was good. Two lovely swimming pools. Wifi was great everywhere. Very helpful staff and owner. They even organised a cooking class for us in their kitchen (which by the way is pretty clean and safe, which is good to know). Also organised airport transfer and a birthday cake for my wife upon arrival. Everything - if you need to relax, gain some energy, this is the perfect spot. Great snorkeling nearby (and also right in front of the resort), an authentic local village, and enough shops to get all you need. The owner is a jewel, extremely helpful! We will sure come back. Great position on beachfront, small white sand beach inside reef. Quiet area with tropical vegetation and lovely seaviews from restaurant. But you can easily get in and swim, however gets deep quite quickly and can be choppy. Walking to Candidasa is a bit far (given that the road is not that pretty) but the transfers are quick and cheap. Can highly recommend the hotel. Airconditioning not holding set temperature...I prefer a ceiling fan. The spa is not so good however I understand it is a small resort. We were able to source a great spa outside who picked up and dropped back so there was no problem.The only negative thing I can think of is the relative remoteness of Sea Breeze although they offer to transport guests at a very reasonable cost. Air conditionning is not powerful enough in the suite to keep the temperature low. No airco in fitness space. Two single beds pushed together to make double bed so uncomfortable. Nothing. The food. Nothing :). Transfer from and to the airport arranged by hotel 74$. I think hotel restaurant was not that good-ratio price and quality. I dont know distance to the other restaurants. beach. Nothing we didn't like. Seclusion. 1) There is no beach on the hotel territory 2) there is a port nearby and you will always see some big ship at anchor in front of you 3) dirty sea 4) personnel is not always polite, especially the management 5) wrong information on website 6) european food not very good. Staff with superior attitude . We booked a room with a sea view and got offered a room stuck on the side of the restaurant , separate to everyone else . Perhaps being a gay couple didn't go down very well with the staff ,we felt uncomfortable with this and asked for what we expected and every other guest had a room with a view . Wouldn't reccomend them to other gay couples .pity hotel is nicely situated with amassing views of candidasa. too far from shops have to catch taxi but restuarnts will send free taxi vincents great and staff good reasonable prices. There were some lizards in our villa. They made loud sounds at the nights. Staff didn't want to do anything with it. Candidasa is not the best place on Bali. No sunrise and no sunsets. There is no sands beach. Big waves. So it is not very comfortable for swimming. Poor breakfast - eggs and toasts. Indifferent staff In comparison with other 4star hotels on Bali it deserves only 3stars.
