  The owners went out of their way to make us welcome. I had contacted them in advance about somewhere to eat and they opened their cafe and cooked us a meal - The Pirate House Cafe near the harbour is to be recommended. Appearances can be deceptive - the hotel looks rather austere on the outside but inside it is modern and bright and very comfortab... what people say » le. Excellent breakfast too. - The building seems a bit of a work-in-progress, with access to the room via a very steep staircase, but overall we had a nice stay. The shared bathroom was clean and available, the breakfast was quite good, the location is excellent in a place where accommodations are limited. The price is pretty high for this type of hotel (hostel, really) even in Iceland.
