  Very good value for money - our own room for 5 people for 3 nights was 20 euros each. The location was great, easy to walk everywhere and there was a cute little cafe on the corner which was open until 4am - so that was great for a late night chill! It did kareoke too and the locals singing were pretty amusing. A very short walk to the river and t... what people say » he main street with the synagogue on it. There were some nice stalls there selling touristy stuff but also mulled wine and food. - Location is simply perfect, everything's in walking distance in the downtown. Further sites of Budapest can be cought by really cheap (~15€) hop-on hop-off offer by the reception. Staff is really professinal and kind, specially the guys (thanks for the bar recommendations). Everything was clean and fresh. Definetelly recommended to other backpackers.

  The hostel was really good. It was a good value for the money.   Very nice hostel, quiet and has no-shoes policy, so you got to put slippers on to be able to walk inside the hostel (which is fine with me as I don't wear shoes at home either). Rooms are very warm, and since I'm used to lower temperatures I had to open windows a few times to get some cool air in... Plenty of public transport around - metro stop just 1 min walk from the hostel (Octagon) and trams are in front of the building too. Perfect - -Excellent location. -Clean, big, and new room. -The blankets and pillows smell very good and clean. -Big windows in the room. -Two shared toilets which are big and clean. I saw the housemaid did very good job. Even a hair she saw on the ground, she picked it up! -We stayed friends hostel for 5 days, they helped us to wash clothes for free. You can have your breakfast in the kitchen . They served breakfast with tea and coffee .. The metro is - The location is all sorts of perfect-right by the underground, right by a cute lil farmers market and a 20 minute tree lined walk to the Fine Arts Museum, plus some nice bars and cafes. Seriously the location is wonderful.The building is lovely as well-a little old and rundown but in a kinda fairytaleish way, and is very roomy, not cramped at all. You have your own sense of space even in the shared rooms. For the price its seriously a total steal.

  Location is excellent next to Margaret Island (musical fountain, pools, running track round it), and near the city center but still a quite location. Beds comfy and rooms clean. Good continental breakfast included. Can get drinks / dinner on the top deck. Two budget double cabins (one for my 2 daughters and one for me and my son) was less than £20... what people say » 0 for 4 nights. Friendly staff and more fun than a normal hotel or backpackers lodge. - It was a really nice and new experience for us to stay on a boat. staff is very friendly, rooms in the hotel are cosy, warm, lots of towels, tv with lots of channels, sadly just one CNN in english. anyways, the boat is really nice, the breakfast big and varied. There is a possibility to leave the luggage in the luggage room after checking out at 10am.
