Very helpful, warm and funny host. Even gives me a detailed description about Budapest and where-to-go suggestions, which quickly helped me to get an overview of the city. The hostel itself is well decorated with cartoon paintings on the wall (you never know that Super-Mario has nice boobs, yeah). In my personal opinion, everything is perfect and this is the best hostel I've been to till now. I'll definitely recommend it to my colleagues and friends for travelling to Budapest.
all reviews » Really great place to enjoy the Budapest with charming Hawaii! Thanks a lot, it's the best hostel we've ever been. Nightlife begins just outside the door. If you take a room with balcony and feel a little bit tired of loud citi you can climb to the roof and stare the stars all the night. As from the first moment, you feel very welcome in this hostel. 'Miss Hawai' offered a drink and some tips about places to see in Budapest. The rooms were clean and large enough, the general atmosphere cosy and warm. Definitely a place to go back!. Excellent place. Central location, 10 min walk to metro, easy connection to the airport (metro + bus 200E, costs 1,5 eur). The rooms are really comfortable, bathrooms clean, kitchen packed with cooking stuff. Highly recommended. Fantastic, my expectations were exceeded: - very warm welcome - staff willing to provide a lot of information - really nice place in the city center Summary: I'LL COME AGAIN. The quality of the finishes were excellent. The host was also invaluable for providing hints and tips of things to do. Very welcoming place!. Hawaii was very informative and helpful. If a larger table is added then it will be even better, but you can sit on the clean wooden floor and use the existing bedside cabinet or just go to the living room anyway, so no big deal. Walking up 135 stairs to get to the hostel may be a challenge if you have lots of luggage (but then again, only younger people with backpacks staying here at my time). One other item is maybe the kitchen. Even though there are only a few rooms, only having 2 plates could at times be insufficient... - No idea. The stairs (although these were advertised, so shouldn't really complain!). The lack of a lift makes the climb up and down daunting (especially if you are out late or tired from sightseeing). Also, it was TOO quiet...hard to meet other travelers because there isn't a big central room where everyone hangs out. There is a lot of stairs and elevator!!! if you have heavy luggage or you are not young and strong don't try it. Maybe a bit noisy in the morning because of the construction works on the other side of the street, but that is a temporary inconvenience.. Nothing. The damn stairs, but you get used to them. stairs. Stairs.
