Good location, in the middle of VIII district, just a short walk from underground (Blaha Lujza ter or Kalvin ter), restaurants, cafes. There is a small supermarket opposite the hotel which is open till 10 p.m. Very nice breakfast, delicious coffee, very helpful and hospitable staff. We stayed in the room on the ground floor, which was spacious, high and stylishly furnished with a big and modern bathroom. Fast wi-fi. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Budapest. all reviews »
Loved this small, thoughtfully decorated hotel. Small, intimate and lots of attention to detail. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to help us with visiting sites, getting taxis, etc. Very reasonably priced, good location. We missed our connection to Budapest because of weather and thus forfeited a night we had paid for at the Beletage, but the hotel let us have a free night on our return! We were impressed - thank you!.
Cozy and lovely place to stay!! Very nice mixture of old and new in the room. I especialy liked the old tiles on the bathroom floor. You can have privacy of your own home and still you can rely on amenities of a hotel. Breakfast area is yet another beautiful space and breakfast itself was very good. The hotel is in the quiet street and 10 minutes walk from the center. I would recommend and stay here again at any time.
The room was tastefully decorated and had an elegant feel in an old
building in charming Budapest. The beds were very comfortable and the
room quiet. The breakfast had a nice variety of foods to meet every
traveler's taste. It was within walking distance to many
attractions. The staff were very helpful in storing luggage until check-
in, suggesting places to eat, giving directions, and calling for a taxi.
The entire stay was lovely. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, who looked after us for the next few days.
we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the hotel had made lots of little arrangements for us. the little touches made it very special.

There are no towels racks in the bathroom so you have to find the place to hang them by yourself. On the groundfloor it is hard to sleep with the windows open, because the street is quite noisy. The queen size bed is in fact two beds pulled together and very easily moving away. That is quite disturbing during the night.

unfortunately the water would randomly go ice cold hence couldnt have a shower till the next morning.. otherwise all else was great.
the only downside is that the walls are rather thin, so its a bit hear-through. But besides that, there is absolutly nothing to complain about.

The lack of directions to the place - none on letsbookhotel.com, nor on House Beletage's website. I had to rely on google maps and lots of reading up on Budapest's public transport system prior to traveling. It would be a problem for those with poor sense of direction.
Also, while the pillows that I had were average, they could be better - bigger and fluffier. It would've made a difference to the overall experience.
The location was just a little too far from the city centre. This could be a problem for some but not for everyone.
