We stayed one night only in a standard room for two persons. The room is very clean, not so small as in many other Hongkong hotels, all bathroom things were available (shampoo, soap, toothpaste and brushes, shower caps, combs, fan). Especially I liked breakfast which they bring to your room (we asked it to be at 8 a.m. and they brought it exactly at this time). The staff were very polite. You can leave deposit in any currency. I left 100 US dollars and the money was returned on check out.
all reviews » Lovely little boutique hotel a short taxi ride from Hong Kong station. The staff were amazingly friendly and over delivered. Our booking stated no breakfast, but we had pastries and juice delivered to the room each morning, and the hotel had excellent free wi-fi when were were expecting wired internet access only. The bed was also very comfortable! All in all a great place to stay, and would highly recommend. It was bang in the center of Hong Kong's bustling city and night life. Everything was just a hop, skip away. The staff (particularly a new trainee forgot the boy's name) was very very friendly and spoke good English. They were also keen on helping us out with the sight seeing locations. great location, close to LKF and Central. Staff was outstanding, very helpful and kind. I will be staying here again when I come back. I had the superior room, enough space for me. The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to by the mtr. The desk staff also created a pleasant and relaxed environment. It was a nice stay and I would go back there again. This was a last minute booking! Sohotel is very modern and quite pretty! The air- conditioner is too noisy. The hotel is convenietly situated, not far from ferry and MTR but the neighborhood is very disappointing.... As expected with Hong Kong the rooms were small and as we were in transit from Austrlia we had 2 big bags as well as hand luggage, which we had to put in front of the door to fit in the room, but this was such a minor point!. Nothing really that we disliked. However the rooms were really small. We knew that from earlier reviews and its understandable considering the hotel was in the city centre. But it doesn't matter if you aren't going to spend much time inside the hotel just like us. The party places are right next to it. There were a few minor maintenance issues that could be addressed but nothing catastrophic. There were also no drawers for clothes. This is difficult in such a small room but I am sure something could be done. Nothing especial to complain. The hotel was not cheap for a budget traveler, but Hong Kong is not a cheap city neither. Room smelled of smoke Room is quite small but has everything you need. The main downside is the size of the room and the fact that the bed is against the wall, in case you are traveling with big luggage I'd recomend upgrading to the bigger room as there is no storage space in the room. Breakfast is just drinks and a couple of pastries but the best part is that is delivered to the room. The included breakfast is just a drink of your choice and 2 small pastries but it was delivered to your room at your chosen time which was very nice!. Have to ask for kettle for the room. Beds less than your height cause your legs dangles in the air. I could hear people talking and water flowing from the next door. Poor set breakfast (only one cup of coffee with two pieces of bekery)serve in room, room very tight and no sound proof. Breakfast was delivered to you room at various times. Although I'd asked for a 9 am breakfast, it got delivered at 8:15, 8:25 and 8:45 over the 3 mornings. This place needs a proper dining room. I would not stay here again because of this. Getting breakfast included is kind of pointless. Better to go to the coffee shop around the corner. Rooms are too small, no window in the room. I asked if I could change rooms for one with a window but they refused. Breakfast is delivered to the room, but they forgot my breakfast on the second day. You can find cheaper and better hotels in the area. Very small room, literally the size of walk in closet bad experience rip off. the rest. Over price. Very small beds.
