The words can't describe our marvelous stay at Met Hotel. Absolutely excellent. Service and product offered is outstanding. Design and deco of room, main lobby, bars, restaurants is incredible. The pool, jacuzzi and gym services are extremely high quality all included in the room price. The hotel has a shuttle bus service to the town (5-8 minutes drive). all reviews » One of the Top Hotel of the world hotels. Top of the Top! Everything was so Perfect. I would like to say thank to everybody who works in every Department of the Hotel. The reception , the staff at the restaurants, the spa, the Housekeeping and cleaners, Maintenance, Schuttle Bus drivers, Porters. To every body a Big Bravo for the great service. You treat the people in the most professional way. Im a tourist guide and i travel often but MET Hotel facilities and staff is the number one . Very posh hotel, beautifully designed, roof pool, bar and restaurant. We haven't had time to try the spa (sauna, hammam, underground pool), but it looked impressive. Breakfast is spectacular like few hotels I've been to, the staff is very kind and competent. Last comment: the hotel is not in the city but in the port part of the city (5 mins drive from the center), but the hotel was smart enough to organize hourly shuttles from the hotel and back, from morning to night, so the distance is not a . Met Hotel is a business luxury hotel. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean with fantastic, comfortable beds. The kids loved the pools (indoor and outdoor) but especially loved the roof top pool (outdoor). Was great to have a drink on the roof top at the end of the day to unwind and relax with 360 degree views of Thessaloniki. Another bonus was the free shuttle to the city centre every hour. Would definitely recommend this hotel but if looking for a more relaxed, family atmosphere I wou. Everything was absolutely perfect from the hotel's aestetics to comfort and service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was also very good. The hotel itself is not diectly in the center however you don't feel that as there are shuttle busses to the center every hour. Trouble accessing internet (fixed eventually, but I had the problem both times I stayed there), the location wasn't the best (not central and nothing of real interest nearby, although the shuttle ran regularly and one could walk to the center in about 45 minutes). Rooftop bar closed for private events in the evenings on at least 3 of the five days I stayed there. Nothing at all!. the area around the hotel is totally deteriorated like many places in greece. hopefully the economy will gain so they can clean up this mess. the hotel is offering a shuttle service so you don't need to walk through. Had some issues with aircon. The port view is not something exciting. Way to dark and way to artsy for my liking. Lots of attention in the art none for comfort. One of the worst beds we ever had. Room color to dark. Too many switches for the lights. Poor shower design. It definitely is a Art hotel. But not a comfort hotel. Walls are thin, was on the third floor could hear people talking in the lobby below. There were mosquitous in the restaurant. Common sign of a new architecture is that it considers the appearance but not so much the practical issues. For example, if you take a shower you cannot avoid water on the floor around. And the floor, certainly nice looking, gets slippery, what I found very dangerous in this case. The area is a fast developing brown field. It will be probably very nice in the near future, but it is definitely not the case now. Almost not possible walking around. Nothing really important... nothing !. The twin bed is to small, the restaurants are a bit expensive. Surroundings. The location. I had a minor issue with magnetic cards not working, but the staff sorted it out immediatelly. The music being broacast in the lobby areas was quite repetitive and boring. Location (although convenient for central bus station). No choice of restaurant, (and no restaurants in area). The one restaurant open in the hotel was booked up already....although table made up away from main restaurant area for us. Location could be better, not very nice neighborhood. nothing. The shuttle service made allo the distende a detail. Maybe can suggest a more frequent timetable. Theres no play room for kids :(.
