we have stayed with this family for the last 10 years and they make you feel like one of their own, the apts are clean, but basic, but if that's what your ok with you will love Pergamos Village, Quiet beyond belief except for the farm animals around, the family will accommodate most things and help with everything, fantastic restaurant at the bottom of the lane, Esperides, however bar snacks are available at the pool side.

That clearly alleviated us from the stress of jumping out of bed to be on time because you slept a bit too much (which is the purpose of holiday - Kriton and his son Panos could not be more helpful and friendly. It was like we had known them as friends for years. We will deffinatly go back there and stay longer than our 3 days this summer.
The position was quiet. Nice walks to tavernas or beach or bus stop. we didn't need a car.
Breakfasts were enormous and served by Kriton with elegance and style. Most fruit etc. from his own farm.
Our apartment was very spacious and comprehensively equipped if full self catering had been our choice. I

Loved it!!! What a pleasant surprise!! I just left a week ago and would
spend the rest of my summer there. I plan on going back with more

Only in the village of Bali you have to have in mind that everything is uphill which was fine for us though. As said in other reviews the hotel is mostly used by French people and all the activities are in French (which we didnt mind at all since we werent interested in them anyway) but all the staff does speak English perfectly. The hotel was better than we expected. The atmosphere was perfect. The owners are very warm-hearted people, they help and take care a lot for their customers. They gave us traditional home made food, olive oil and alcohol. The apartments are cleaned by staff almost every day. Every day there are fresh towels. The hotel is great for families with children. There are also lots of shops nearby.

Diamond Beach is a very friendly , family run business , with superb sea views from every room. A smashing taverna is opposite and the glorious beach is a 5 minute stroll away. Nikos and his family are great and always there to help. We have been to Stallis for the last 5 yrs and stayed at Diamond Beach the last 2 ! Cant wait to go back.

We only stayed for two days but because it was the last two days of the season the owner upgraded us to the "Big House" which is a three bedroom, three balcony, two bathroom suite and was absolutely delightful. A lovely, romantic and perfect end to our time in east Crete.
Panormos is ideal if you want a quieter resort but is within driving distance of many sites. We well recommend a stay here.
