As the week progressed we got to know the family, mainly Soula who was always there with a smile at breakfast. We got Momma up dancing one night and she was so lovely, she gave us a leaving gift. We first stayed at the Belvedere hotel for a few nights - it was expensive and extremely run down. We left with a very sour taste in our mouths. We then moved to Nissaki for one night, and WOW, what a difference. If you like wonderful service, beautiful decorated rooms, an infinity pool which overlooks beautiful Psarrou beach and tons of huge yachts, then this hotel is for you. We arrived (minus our luggage - that's another story!). Tired, hungry, grungy, not happy campers at all. Hotel van dropped us off at the lobby and we were immediately transported into a wonderful elegant, serene and aromatic world. In spite of the rather Spartan bedding (pun intended), the staff was extremely accommodating, especially Emil by the pool and Kelly tending bar.
