  I travel 30 weeks out of the year and stay in everything from 5 star hotels, to hostels. with that said, I couldn't imagine a better experience than at MaryLouJohn Villas. Better customer service than at 5 star hotels. It doesnt get more personal than here. I have seen some negative comments in the reviews and wonder if those people are just n... what people say » egative in general! You will NOT find anything in this price range in this area. Believe me, I researched this extensively before I came. Across th - The place is very comfortable and designed with a good taste. The delicious breakfast was served by the pleasant host of the hotel on the terrace with amazing view to caldera. The hotel is located at the beginning of the main pedestrian street and it`s within 10 minutes walk from the sunset viewpoint. There is a tavern near the hotel with reasonable prices and nice food. The presence of the cute Bella (the host`s dog) added the lovely charm to the cosy atmosphere of the hotel.

  Everything - the fact that it was a small family run hotel, the service was very personal, there was nothing Irini or her family would not do for you, but equally they left you alone to enjoy the holiday.   The hotel is conveniently located right opposite to a bus stop (bus stop name same as hotel name). The hotel has an outdoor tavern (reasonably priced) which was very helpful as we arrived late and tired. The location (within easy walking distance to Oia), the striking views, the food, the room itself, and the wonderful staff who made us feel very much at home.   We had a wonderful stay at a most scenic spot at residence suites. The rooms were very comfortable in every possible way. One has to be very aware that this is not a luxury resort and that any extras would need to be got from outside. This means that if you have forgotten a bottle of water, you have to go back into the little town - all very small... what people say » , accessible and well equipped.   We had a beautiful terrace and a fabulous view of the sea. Every day changing towels, everything is clean and comfortable to stay. The beach is just below the house. Private sunbathing area is beautiful. Wind and waves! It's never very hot. Is 5 km away from the city and we recommend renting a scooter. Everybody does it. The woman who cleans every morni - The closeness to the sea and the walks on the beach, the beautiful views in a peaceful part of Santorini. The sea can be rough during Meltemi, but that is part of the charm and contributes to the beauty of the place. The possibility to walk to Finikia through the fields in 20-30 minutes and to Oia in 45-60 minutes. Car or scooter otherwise recommended as bus transportation is diffucult. Very clean and friendly place with lovely people to take care of you! Thank you!

  We loved our time at Amoudi Villas and did not want to leave! The views are breathtaking. The location was also perfect: caldera-side, quiet, and outside of the fray of Oia (yet still just a short hike from the town.) - Not very good cliff view, but might be a good place to enjoy the sunset.

  Excellent service at hotel and great location! Takes 4-5 min to walk to Oia centre from the hotel and hotel is also close to Finikia village which is worth a visit. Anna and Costas at the hotel is very friendly and can help with any questions you have. Also possible to order breakfast which included bread, coffee, juice, yoghurt, jam, ham, cheese ... what people say » and cake. We paid only 7 eur for breakfast which is a good price when compared to rest of Oia. From the hotel you also get an excellent sunset if you - This place was such a great deal for the money. The rooms are big and clean and have views of the sea in the distance and sunset in the summer from your balcony (though not a view of the volcano side). There is a beautiful pool you can use next door at Maria's place but pay less and stay at Galini. It is just a 2 minute walk to the bus stop to get around Santorini and to the market and a 5 minute walk to the pedestrian walkway in Oia and the amazing views. It takes about 20 minutes to walk all
