We never met with the owner but they left us a letter with the keys after which we chatted to him on text. He was very helpful. The place (although it was very hard to find initially) has a great location. It's right on the edge of the water in the middle of Little Venice with all the restaurants and bars around. We had a beautiful view from our room too, overlooking the ocean which is right on your doorstep - amazing sunsets too!.
all reviews » Super central location. Great view. Nice apartment in the middle of Little Venice. Very short walking distance from: the port, buses to go to the beach, windmills, restaurants and bars. Best location ever, facilities, comfort, incredible sea view, etc. Fantastic location although a little hard to find, ask/search for Bar Del Mar when you arrive. It's located in Little Venice, a ten minute walk from Fabrika (central bus port), past the windmills. The view from the small balcony is amazing, you can see the windmills and watch the sunset perfectly without paying the ridiculous food & drink prices at the restaurants below. Loved the location and price. The view was spectacular. The owner was very nice and accommodating and has a nearby shop. Very friendly stuff , amazing view and great value for money. Also great location close to everything. on top of little venice. Bath / shower was a bit of a let down. The shower head too short and the bath about only half the size. Probably a Greek thing but was very strange to me. The only other thing that was off putting was the noise, but we went just before season and I suppose if you want to be in the heat of it all, you cant complain about the noise levels. Bars played very loud music until about 5am. So if you can't beat them, you definitely have to join them :). It's on top of a bar/club so there's really loud music all night long. You feel like you're sleeping in the club itself. Music will be on until 4am. It wasn't a big problem for us since we stayed 1 night only, but try to bring ear plugs. Other than that it's really good value for money. Bring earplugs! Some reviews say the apartment blocks out the noise of Veranda Bar next door however we stayed in the room closest to the bar and felt like we were sleeping in it. The music was extremely loud and continuous until 4am. I would recommend this place for people like what to party themselves and/or for a short stay (with earplugs). The bathroom and other facilities in the room (fridge, wifi, etc) were great. The place was very small and cramped. If you go when it is colder, the heat did not work. When you needed the owner at his shop, the shop was closed. Taking a shower can be a challenge coz the tub is small especially if you're a big man. Also water from the tap is not drinkable as well as everywhere else on the island and every other island of the kiklades. That has got nothing to do with this hotel as its everywhere on the Aegean. Just wanna warn people. Coz I drank it and got sick for 2 days. Overal great place. The view is worth it big time. difficult to find the owner who had the keys, everything outside the front door is good but expensive, inside the front door its acceptable but not worth the charge!!!!!.
