My mother and I spent an holiday in Crete in the city of Malia at this hotel from 22.9.13-28.9.13. The hotel is run by a very nice family, we arrived at the hotel around 23:00 and this lovely women (the mother) welcomed us very nice. The room was clean and was so great we had a balcony facing the sea. The hotel is literally on the beach and it was so great the only thing we heard was the sound of the waves. Moreover the room had a great kitchen and all the stuff you need to cook and to serve. .
all reviews » The hotel is situated directly on the beach. Hotel is managing by nice Greek family. All of them were very friendly and opened for our demands. Hotel room -apartment was ok with 2 rooms, 2 balcony and with small kitchen and bathroom. Outside swiming pool was excellent for kids, there were also separate area for infants. A bar close to the swimming poll ofrered drinks and basic meal. The sand beach and sea was beatiful and clear. You can go to the sea directly from the hotel or to go rihts side . Silver Sun is a friendly, family run hotel, the beach location is perfect for relaxing by the pool, walking on the beach or sipping something delicious on your balcony whilst gazing at the mountains. The apartments are very clean and well serviced. There is a snack bar for food and drink throughout the day. Malia nightlife is a long walk away so this hotel is most suitable for couples and families. Totally recommend it. It is really nice place, very clean and spacious renovated room with new furniture, all you need for cook. Very comfortable room to stay and pleasant evenings at big private balcony. Nice sand beach is just few steps from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Hotel located rather far from center of Malia (20-30 min by walk). - The hotel crue is very nice and helpful - THE VIEW FROM THE HOTEL IS stunning - the kitchan have all the thing that you need to preper what kind of food that you want - the place is very quite so you can relax after a long day. Owners were quick and efficient to respond to my request to provide temporary blinding to block sun. View of our balkony, beach, port, sympatic personal. It wasn´t a minus for us (family with kids) or for those who want a quiet erea. The hotel is situated close to the Malia Port , it´s pretty far from Malia Center. I can warmly reccomend to rent a car or motorbike for trips and traveling around the Malia and Crete. Trying really hard but cannot think of anything!!. Internet is only wared and for additional payment. - The air conditioner is with extra money (5 uro per day) - THE HOTEL IS A LITTEL BIT FAR FROM THE CENTER OF MALIA SO YOU NEED A VEICAL. Light sensitive sleepers be aware there are no shutters in windows and curtains are wafer thin so early morning sun wakes u up, this is such a nuisance especially in summer. No TV (Didnt care about that) No WIFI (that i care).
