  Hotel Sifis We stayed at the hotel Sifis which is the very first hotel as you drop off from the ferry. The views from the room balcony are just stunning. This is not trying to be a five star hotel as the bedrooms are typical Cretan basic, and clean, but the warmth and hospitality from owner Christina definitely is worthy of seven stars. The hotel is very much a family affair and the history of past generation is clear from all the photographs and decorations in the bar area.The rooms are basic but clean and have excellent uninterupted views of the bay exactly as I had hoped. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the resort which had plenty of Greek families holidaying from other areas of Crete. Sweet water bay was wonderful walk from Loutro and George's beach

  The best thing about the hotel is location. Loutros is a lovely village with no road access in an idyllic setting which makes it a peaceful place to have a break. Our bedroom and balcony overlooked the bay and harbour with its blue/green crystal clear water. The accommodation is simple but had everything we needed, including a fridge and kettle. Rooms are cleaned and bedding and towels changed on alternate days if you are staying more than on - Nikos and his staff were very friendly. The food at the restaurant was really good, especially the barbequed meat. Nice location at the quiet side of Loutros.

  Loutro is just amazing and Villa Niki was a great choice where to stay. It is a bit above from the main Loutro promenade - 3mins on few stairs. But what you get is a pieceful place with great view on the harbour from the balcony. The rooms are exactly as pictured on the photos - very nice, clean.
