  We got room #10, which is a corner unit with two balconies and great views. Eating breakfast on the balcony (usually fruit or souvlaki we bought the night before and stored in the hotel refrigerator down the hall) was a great way to begin our day. Less noisy than Kalambaka and right at the base of the Meteora rocks. We - This little family hotel is all you need for 2-3 nights, during the trip to Meteora: perfect location (just on the main road to the monasteries and in the center of Kastraki), clean and functional rooms and very fair prices. All the balconies offer excellent views to Meteora, some good restaurants and markets are nearby (but without troubling the silence) and the staff is young and friendly.

She tracked down an item we left on the bus the previous day, she helped arrange our transportation to Corfu, she made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. It is very near Meteora, right at the beginning of the walking path. - San Giorgio Villa is perfectly located in Kastraki for seeing and exploring Meteora. The hotel is sparkling clean, comfortable and cozy, and staff are friendly. Wifi is fast with strong signals everywhere. There are areas to lounge around and relax in if you want to escape from your room - verandas and sofas etc. And, for this particular region, the prices are reasonable - I was very positively surprised by the level of comfort and service that was provided.

  We arrived two hours earlier than the time of check in and the friendly owner explained us that the room is not ready yet and suggested that we visit monastery or two. He showed us the map of Meteora, advised which monastery to visit and also explained the opening hours of monasteries. He also offered us to leave the luggege there.
