The Athos is located within walking distance of the Plaka area and the Acropolis as well as the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch...we are walkers but this is easy walking. If you can get a room on the 4th floor you can get a spectacular view of the Parthenon from your window. Either way the view from the roof is just as beautiful.. We have been impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of staff members. We also got free upgrade of our room to suite which was nice. The staff were fantastic in helping us sort out our onward travel arrangements - responding quickly and positively to emails before we arrived and making phone calls when we were there. The location within easy walking distance from Syntagma Metro station makes it easy to get to and from, and it is close to the centre of Athens for sightseeing and shopping. We will go back again.
