The view: The hotel is placed on top of Imerovigli and has a breath- taking view. The staff: Hotel keeper Georgia is a very kind, caring, friendly person. The staff is both cheerful and respectful. Breakfast is served from 8am to 11am wherever you want to have it; in your room, by the pool, on the roof... The rooms: Cosy furniture, everything works fine. Rooms are cleaned everyday, the ladies also do the dishes and fold the clothes left in the open unfolded. Everyroom has a safe. Cute decoratio.
all reviews » This small hotel, possibly comparable to a bed and breakfast for U.S. travelers is super clean inside and out. Giorgia at reception is very welcoming and friendly, as are the owners of the hotel, these people are hands on as concerns their hotel, they take great pride in their property and it shows. Ampelonas apts are easy to access, many of the hotels in fira and imeroviglia have many stairs up and down and rough cobblestone paths to wheel your luggage over. imeroviglia is quieter and cal. This was the friendliest hotel stay we've ever experienced. It is lovely to stay in a place where the owner and his staff are there for you 24/7. We experienced the generous hospitality that is part of what makes the Greek culture so alluring. Our room had a spectacular view with fantastic sunsets and the soft cross of Santorini winds wafting through our apartment. The owner recommended local restaurants that served real Greek food at reasonable prices. We felt very cared for. We really t. If you consider the sunset view, it is much much better than Oia where is full of tourists, crowded, no space in the narrow streets. However if you stay in Ampelonas, you can enjoy the sunset with your drink at the teras and to me its much better view than Oia. wider view and from the top. The personal is very helping, kind. There is no problem with car parking and no need to climb up or down or take lots of steps etc. ıf you want to reach your hotel comfortably and stay in silence Imeroviglio . The location was excellent, with mini market and plenty of restaurants within 5 min. Walk, and away from all of the busy walkways of Fira and Oia. Town is centrally located on the island, and just 25 min. Walk (or 5 min. Taxi/bus) to Fira. The hotel was the best part of our trip. Georgia and her family could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, and pool over-looking caldera was breath-taking. Thank you Georgia and family! Really nice and clean hotel with all things working. The attraction is the view over the Caldera and it does not get any better than here! And it is only a beautiful 30 minute walk from central Fira. However, local restaurants are really good as well. Within seconds of arriving at Ampelonas we were warmly greeted by Georgia and her family. From that moment on, we were in the hands of amazing and gracious hosts. Georgia and her family could not do enough for my family and I. It was the the last hotel we stayed during our 12 day Ctete+Santorini round trip. We were met on reception by a very kind and smart lady with a beautiful smile. Her name is Georgia. She told friendly about the hotel and its rules. We stayed in sea view room-studio. Perfect! Everythins is fine, all things work! The staff is perfect too, friendly and helpful. The view was great and the hotel staff, Georgia, was incredibly nice and hospitable. Georgia was so helpful with arranging our transportation to and from the port. The room was very neat and clean. They came in during the day while we were out and cleaned up for us. It was excellent! They served us breakfast in the mornings out on the patio and it was great. We loved the service, the staff and it was perfectly clean!!! The staff are super friendly, provided us with all the help we need and went out of their way to make sure we are comfortable! They make you feel at home. The pool is very nice for days when you want to just kick back and not do much. - location was amazing, with excellent views of the caldera - staff were very helpful and nice, they even organized a birthday cake for one of our guests which was very thoughtful - apartment was very spacious and clean, balcony overlooking the sea was excellent. Parking was convenient and ample. We would definitely choose Ampelonas again. The staff and the owner are always there to satisfy your needs. They always seem to be cleaning something, the hotel is very clean and tidy. The caldera view maybe in another hotel better but the value for money in ampelonas is outstanding. Breakfast and wifi speed could be better. The house is not easy to find.
