Heraklion Hotels

The front office took care of us when the ferry we booked to Santorini was canceled on us. Upon return my wife was upset and worried, then the manager said, "Don't worry we will fix it." They handled all the leg work of contacting our next hotel, explaining the situation and saving us the one night cancellation charge. They also booked us their upgraded suite. They helped smooth out a rough patch in our honeymoon! The hotel itself has great amenities. l feel like they are undercharg - Craig

This hotel is in a great position with most rooms having lovely views of the Venetian Fortress of Heraklion.The reception staff couldnt have been more helpful--very good traffic controllers!!!Extensive buffet breakfast. Close to several good restaurants & transport. Request a port view room on the 5th floor. - Matthew

I have visited this hotel a lot of times for business in crete!!!!! The last time it was just.... amazing!!!! The rooms have been totally renovated, I was surprised from the difference!!!!like i went to an other hotel!!!!!! specifications and facilities of a luxurious hotel!!!! - Paul

Recently visited Crete on a one month vacation in Greece where in I covered lots of ground! I visited Crete for 5 days primarily to see the Minoan archeologic sites and museums so, of course, Heraklion was on my travel itineray. Unfortunately, the weather was wet with thunder and lightening for my two day visit. Not knowing for sure how long I would be in Hania, I had not booked my rooms for Heraklion in advance. now i had been to this hotel 4 years prior to staying on this occasion and i have to say in terms of its interior it has improved. it is very modern and newly renovated. the staff are friendly and the breakfast was ok. in terms of location it was right in the centre of heraklion so it was excellent in terms of getting around in the centre of the city. it was a 10 minute walk to all the buses so was convenient. the only thing was, that they didnt think about renovating the windows - or rather wha - Michael

Rated as 4 star and meets the standard. Very trendy hotel and perfectly located in the heart of the city. Staff are great and service was excellent. Surprisingly the restaurant has great menu for a very decent price!!!! Morning breakfast was a feast!!!! Beautiful pool and terrace. There is no fitness center in this hotel. - Rob

We arrived on a typical charter flight from the UK landing late at night so chose to stay the night in Heraklion before picking up our hire car to head on to West Crete the next morning. The rooms looked lovely on their internet site and the prices were quite reasonable but I must be honest I thought it highly unlikely that the room would be nearly as nice, presuming that the photo was probably taken years before straight after it was built or renovated. We stayed at Atlantis for one night in July 2008 as we had to catch a ship the next day. The hotel is very conveniently located, near the port and very close to Heraklion's center. Our room had a nice view overlooking the port and parts of the city. The staff was very friendly, made us feel at ease and catered to our needs. Breakfast was delicious! The Mirabello is 3 minutes walk from the "25 August" pedestrian street in one direction, and from the Morosini Fountain in another. The hotel is basic, it also has rooms with comunal bathrooms, if wished. Our room had a small double bad and another single bed, so for comfort we just slept separately for 2 nights. It is not my first choice but it was comfortable and roomy enough that way. it would be too small for 3 adult-size persons, though. The hotel does not offer berakfast, thou - Suzanne

Comfortable, clean and very well located just outside walls of old city. 5 minutes from the port. Staff were excellent. I accidently left my passport in another hotel 5 hours away. Michael (front desk reception) was super helpful. Got on the phone immediately with the other hotel and the courier company. Would absolutely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Heraklion. - Sharon
