The whole hotel was clean and at a comfortable temperature when it was very stuffy outside. Also, the breakfast was comprehensive (cereal, eggs, meats, cheese, salads, bread, tea, coffee, orange juice). The location is excellent for exploring the centre of Heraklion and is on the main bus route to/from the airport. The beds are comfortable, air conditioning works well and bathrooms very nice. The staff were very polite and helpful - this was very noticeable of all locals we encountered in C.

When we arrived hungry and tired after 9pm, they recommended a great little place to eat right down the road, away from the hustle and bustle of the City Center (which is also amazingly close and enjoyed the following evening). The rooms are a good size, the shower pressure was great and the balcony was pretty big, complete with a pull out rack for hang-drying clothes. They also pointed us to a drop-off laundrymat nearby. The brothers are extremely helpful. They greeted me with a smile every time I walked into the hotel. The breakfast is delicious. The room is very nice with a little bit of sunshine coming through the balcony. the bed is comfortable. I especially like the wooden door and the wooden keychain of the room. The hotel is just 15 min walk from the 25th August street where lots of good restaurants located. The price is really good. The hotel is situated in the old centre of Iraklion. From the hotel you can choose either to go by bus or taxi to the nearest beach or take the walking routes to experience the history of this town. The hospitality in the hotel is great and the rooms are modern and clean. If you want to taste some of the history of Crete, traditional Cretan drinks and food then go to Iraklion and stay at the Iraklion Hotel. we had a very spacious room and bathroom the personell is very nice. looks a bit box-like and bunker-like from the outside but its very nice inside the hotel. breakfast was tasty and fresh, nothing to complain about. The room was very clean. About 20 min walk from the port and 5 min from Iraklion centre. Taxi from and to airport is about 10 euros. To port its a little cheaper. Well located with respect to the center of Heraklio. Free wifi was strong throughout the hotel and they have a computer that you can use for free at the reception, which was great. Located right next to the bus stop that goes straight to the airport. What more can you ask for?. The hotel was a 7-8 minutes walk far from the shopping streets in the center of the city. We left our luggage 4 days in advance of our stay because of doing a trip away from Crete by ferry. The staff was very kind and helpful with our requests. The room was clean and neat. I rated this hotel as "excellent" for a TWO STAR hotel! Clean, large room and bathroom, internet worked well, friendly/helpful staff. They actually included breakfast in our "package." Most of the main city streets are very noisy due to the airport nearby and constant noise of revving scooters outside - and this hotel is situated on one such street. This made sleeping very difficult unless you went to bed very late - however, a set of earplugs from one of the many local pharmacies blocked out this noise so we got a good night's sleep. Also, many of the lights in the room didn't work, although they did provide nice decoration!. This is not a real big knock on this hotel (as it was fairly standard in many places in Crete), but our "double bed" was actually 2 twins pushed together. In truth, is was bigger than a queen sized bed, so no worries. the google map provided on the booking website is wrong!!! It is too brief and very misleading. I couldn't find the hotel if nobody was there to help me. The hotel is actually located at a main road which should be easy to find. Everything was fine!. Nothing. Everything was fine. The hanging place of towels was located high but just above the toilet seat. I feared they would drop. Bigger room would be nice. Booked using Amex, had to use Visa. Just, Hard to find the hotel, but it's still a nice location. Better to check the map first . Nothing. The dust on the floor in the room and the poor breakfast. We had some problems with the internet. Not the quietest location. When arriving we got a poor room which was not appearing in the pictures, after talking with the reception got much nice room. we had a room facing to the street and it was quite noisy at night. perhaps second pillow needed. The tourists who make a lot of noise (my neighbour had a phone call at 1:00 in the morning and she was shouting in her phone !!!) but, of course, the hotel is not responsible for the bad attitude of the customers !... (and they are a few like this unfortunately...). The lift - too small and too slow. There aren't any outside areas. Back View. Loved the balconies, didn't mean it was a secure room as could get from room to room. a little hike from port and bus station, but central to shopping area of town. Coffee. There wasn't any warm milk or hot chocolate in the breakfast. City noise. No complains. Desk staff was absent at night sometimes, lots of guests qaiting for their keys. We thought the breakfast could have been better, little choice for brits, the car parking was a little vague could have been more information. The bed was too hard could not get a good night rest'. Room was tiny Shower was tiny No blanket for bed provided. I didn't like the location. It's downtown in a crowded, chaotic little city. This is not the hotel's fault! If you have to be in Iraklion, this hotel is a fine place to stay. But for planning a vacation you might want to consider some of the msaller, quieter towns nearby.vacation.
