This place is excellent value for money and the owners are so warm and friendly! The room we had was lovingly adorned with paintings created by the owner and the all of the room looked as if it had been completely refurbished this summer. Before we arrived, Manolis, the owner, contacted us with really extensive directions on how to find the apartment.. which was so kind and thoughtful! Our balcony was huge and had a view of the sunrise which was incredible! I would definitely stay at argonaftes.
all reviews » We had a very enjoyable stay of four nights. It is owned by the most lovely Greek family, who are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and was decorated with beautiful paintings (by the very talented father). Argonaftes Villa has loads of character and is a memorable place to stay. The location is great too - an easy walk from the bus station and very close to the centre to Fira. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!. Everything was perfect! The best place to stay with reasonable price. Distance 5mins walking to the center of Fira, good connection with the buses. The family that keeps the hotel - so nice people - beautiful, have no words to describe their attitude and sympathy. We have all we needed - information, service and so warm hospitality, that only Greeks could give from their heart. Definitely will come back one day. This is the place guys!!. Super-Clean, Quiet and it has amazing host (Mrs.Tula and his husband) You can rent a bike through them (20 Euro per day) and arrange a taxi-shuttle to the airport (15 Euro for 2 people). The room was small but enough with all you might need (hair drier, tv, freezer, small desk and towels) Bed is comfortable and very clean. Be quiet and keep the good environment. Really it is a gem. Very beautiful and unique villa!!! We found it very romantic! Had an amazing sea view and very spacious and comfortable rooms which are spotless!! The location was walking distance from downtown Thira and would be a great place to explore nightlife from. the retro decor internally, the natural and lovely behaviour of the owner lady and the painting husband, homely environment , quiet apartment to sleep, good location and the most important is excellent value for money, cooperative and helping attitude. We had a curved tower room at the top of the building which had fantastic views and was very private. There was a great collection of the owner's artwork which really gave character and atmosphere to the room and the villa. Staff were very friendly. The staff is really friendly and helpful; the hotel facilities very cosy and pictoresque. Also the position - at a walking distance from the city center of Phira but still calm - is quite convenient. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Run by really friendly and genuinely helpful family. Good wifi. Quiet location 10 min walk from centre of Thira along traffic free route. Taxi transfer was best option from port, cost 15 Euros each way (including for late night ferry). The hosts are really very kind, always trying to help guests since the arrival till the departure. The staffs were very friendly. The location is actually next town but actually it is walking distance (5-6 minutes) to Fira's downtown, which is quite OK. Everything is so good. The room isn't really soundproofed and if you are sensitive to noise and are trying to sleep in it might be a problem. I always travel with earplugs so it wasn't an issue for me. nothing. A bit difficult to get up the stairs with heavy bags gor older people. Nothing, it was exactly what we wanted. I didn't arrange a shuttle or taxi from the hotel. But I should have. The hotel was a little bit difficult to find at first, especially if you are carrying a suitcase. The streets are narrow and crowded, so it was not easy. There is nothing to dislike about them. Little bit far away from the sea view. -Somewhat difficult to find. nothing.
