The location was absolutely stunning as you would expect if you stay on the Calderra. Right in the heart of Thira. The room which was very clean was also gorgeous and quirky which was brilliant. The owner was extremely helpful and very welcoming. For a small fee he picked us up from the port and took us to the airport.. All in all a very good choice which we would highly recommend!.. Excellent experience!!!! View from the room and the balcony are amazing. just hang out in the room is enough :) Especially the breakfast we had at the balcony.its just so amazing! Location is perfect too!! If I would come back to santolini I would come back to this hotel for sure.

For us it has been one of the best places where we ever had been. The location is excellent! It's a traditional hotel but has modern facilities. Beautiful sunset, friendly cats and the staffs are glade to help! Happy to enjoy my holiday even in low season. And we hope to visit here in summer!. Centrally located in the heart of Fira, traditional rooms and caves, equipped with terraces overlooking the caldera. Unbeatable atmosphere, you feel like a guest, not a tourist. Probably the best choice in Santorini. The hotel is located in central of Fira. It's very close to city center. Also the receptionist is very friendly and kind. In addition, the view from in front of the hotel is fantastic!!!. Very friendly staff, excellent location, convenient access to the center of Fira. Great view of the Aegean sea from the room. The traditional cave room has no window, so it's a bit cold and humid. The breakfast is OK, but not as expected before. (No fruits, same menu everyday). Only one thing which can be updated is the bath room facility. Nil. Everything was great. The fact that the room and the wc/bathroom wasnt seperated with a door atleast. Expensive room (we were paying the Good View at the Volcano and Caldera not the luxury services). air-con water leaking and the shower system has to be turned on 15 mins before shower in order to get hot water. Very small room. Floor slippery when wet ... Including after showers. Our room was at the lowest level, close to the reception. I was promised to have private balcony with direct access from the room, but in reality it was a very little and no private terrace with a limited volcano view. Because of the wall you don't have 180 degree view, so be aware! There is a high humidity and a little smell in the cave room. Bathroom is small, the tiny window has grill for security reason:(. We stayed at a cave double room (maybe some things are different for other rooms). The room was not the most spacious one; just enough for 2 (but anyhow it is a cave). The facilities need some maintenance/renovation (e.g. A/C, furniture, bed, bed linen). Breakfast is really basic. In general the quality can definitely improve to reach their claimed 4* and improve the value for money for the visitor. It is not very confortable, it is a cave and the toilet, shower is combined without a door separation with the room. Nothing. It is unacceptable in Greece of crisis spending around 160€ per night without having a decent breakfast. A traditional breakfast. It is better not to have breakfast included. It's getting a bit tired and needs a revamp. no furniture to put dresses and luggages; no real table to have breakfast or dinner. V Limited options for breakfast. Room was literally a cave (Poor ventilation inside the room, therefore, no high indoor air quality). Way overpriced! There was no real sea-view as advertised. Long stairs to climb, hard with luggage. Very far from parking. Staff were friendly, but very strict and inflexible. No Internet signal in the caves. The restroom was really bad. Dark in there, and did not smell good. It says it is a sea view room, yes, through a tiny window. The hotel's facilities were not so good, since it was obvious that they have formed as smaller rooms as possible so as to increase their number. So, the room was something like 13-15 square meters and it was completely uncovenient to stay there. I would definitely not recommend it. The only plus was the good will of the the owner to be helpful.
