The hotel itself is very good. The best points are as follows: 1. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. 2. Clean and comfortable rooms with great bathrooms. 3. Great roof terrace with a view of the Acropolis and a small bar that stays open until midnight. 4. all reviews » Good location where you get a good impression of the Greek life. Hotelroom was basic but had a nice bathroom. Lovely personnel who were very willing to give advise. The girl from the reception even made a phonecall for us to see where we could pickup our boat tickets. We had to leave very early but we could still get some breakfast. Eventhough the bread was not fresh, I found the gesture to be able to get some breakfast at 5 am very nice! I would definately recommend this hotel, not for its fac. The hotel was modern, clean and had a simple rooftop bar with a great view if the Acropolis. It was only about a 7 min walk to The center if Psyrri and Monastiraki, so it was very conveniently located. It was our anniversary and the hotel staff me ever was very nice and gave us a great room with an Acroplolis view and a complimentary small bottle of wine! So nice. Another interesting addition was that Athens largest fruit, vegetable, meat and fish markets are right outside the door of the hotel. Athens Center Square is close to all the main sites and is located directly across from the Central Market, which is a very interesting place in itself. It is an easy walk to Plaka and the Flea Market and the hotel rooftop bar has a wonderful view of the Acropolis, as well as many other areas within the city of Athens. We really enjoyed our stay at Athens Center Square. We definitely recommend it. Next time around, we will likely book a room overlooking the Acropolis, which are more expensive b. It was the best value for money I had in a month long vacation visiting over 10 cities. Location is great. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Plaka and the old center/Metro. You're in front of a food market. Breakfast Buffet is quite delicious though missing a bit on the greek spirit. As it is inner city, the surrounding areas are dilapidated and were unnerving when we first arrived at night. However this can be said for most areas in Athens and should not reflect badly on this hotel alone. The market in the area of course leaves behind that market smell, this was not a problem in the hotel at all, but walking to and from it in the evening, it was noticeable. The chairs in the room had stains on them which wasn't a pretty sight when we walked in the room. The neighborhood around was a bit dirty -- it seemed to be a lower income neighborhood but still felt perfectly safe. If you're a single girl, you might prefer a different location. While I enjoyed having a drink on the roof top, I felt the menu of drinks could have included a few more options. Although the location is very convenient, it is true that it is basicly in the central market, so it is busy outside during the day and somewhat dark at night (although safe in any case!). But again, I would highly recommend the hotel. The location is a bit unfortunate...It is really close to the Monastiraki station though. Nevertheless, while it is colourful and alive in the daytime I was a bit worried when I was walking back to the hotel in the night hours. The showers are somewhat slippery and take most of the place in the bathroom. Right opposite the market, it's noisy in the morning, but pleasant to have a market there at the same time. There's a nightclub at week-ends and my room was on that side, it was noisy at night for a while but didn't bother me that much. The Internet connection is mostly very slow, you must get daily tickets to activate it. The staff was very friendly, but a little bit weak on the tourism advice. Lobby of hotel could do with new carpets. Curtains in room very dirty. Well, Athens' center was as chaotic as always but the amount of misery around the hotel can be unbearable. Plus, it was the first time in my life that I really felt I could be in danger when I had to return by myself later at night. There was no kettle in the room to boil water, but staff willing to serve hot water in kettle from the kitchen anytime. The Location. The main entrance was in the middle of a street market - the open-air stalls were begun from before sunrise and lasted to well over about 5pm. The constant din and hub-bub was, in spite of good noise insulation, persistent, even though we were in a 6th floor room. Also, the smell that emanated due to the fish stalls and the rotting vegetables, made walking in the area difficult. - The room is not well illuminated - Only one wifi account for one room and the signal is not very strong!!(we booked a double-bed room) - No hair-dryer. location-very close to the market. It may be noisy for people living on first three floors. Rooms are small. Housekeeping do not understand 'do not disturb'!. The hotel is located in the middle of Athens market. There is no direct access to the hotel. Coming from the country side, it was a bit shocking. We had some noise early in the morning, from works taking place next door, mentioned this to the reception who moved us after the second morning as the noise continued, perhaps should have moved us after the first morning. Not too much of a serious problem and did not detract from out stay. noise in the neighbourhood at night (Saturday). lift is very small, walking stairs is a better option. The hotel is located in quite a seedy part of Athens. Probably shouldn't be walking alone, always be with someone especially after dark. Location especially the main entrance and during night, dark and worried some. rooms are tiny!. The location wasn't great at night. During the day is fine but at night it turns from a fruit market to a baddies area. Be careful!. The shower cubicle was tiny!. No complaints whatsoever. The hotel is do not has own parking. It is so uncomfortable!. The wifi signal on our room was very weak. Fruit and Veg market is a shock on arrival. Nothing special... because we were confortable...
