Tourist Hotel was a great hotel, situated in a fantastic location. Argostoli is a very quiet town, however my visit was in low-season and this could be the reason for this. I would not recommend Argostoli if you-re looking for lots to do, as you may be required to travel out of town to reach these destinations. This location is however, a 5 minute drive from some beautiful beaches and therefore the perfect relaxation hub. The hotel itself was fantastic, with 24-hour staff who spoke great Englis.
all reviews » Stayed at Tourist in early August. We are a family of three so it was nice to have an extra room for the kid. Balcony was facing the harbor and was on the shady side in the afternoon. The room was spotless. They cleaned it properly every day. Excellent breakfast. They even make coffee on request so that you get exactly the one you like. Staff members were very nice and helpful. Just ask at the front desk if you need any information. These ladies know the island inside out. Location is truly ex. A nice hotel in a very good location for exploring Argostoli and the island of Kefallinia. The rooms were clean. Be careful which room you choose because the small ones are very small (you are going to laugh when you try to rich for the soap from the ground in the shower). But who cares. This island has so much to offer, so you stay only for a nap in your room. The breakfast has traditional cheeses, pies, marmalades etc. and of cause you can find there the typical beacon, sausages and egg combi. The Hotel is very good value for money. The interior design is very nice, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is amazing, some healthy options as well as some local specialties are served. All in all we were very satisfied with, there was only one thing I missed: freshly squeezed orange juice. The buzzing city center and the main square is just 5 minutes by walk. Nice coffee shops and night clubs, but if you fancy a great restaurant you also have plenty of choices. Its wor. The hotel is in a very good location on the main road. All the facilities very close. The bakery near the hotel was always handy for a little snack and it smells just beautiful. The breakfast was ALWAYS great with a great variety of food. We couldn't wait to tuck in . I am still dreaming of the cheese, apple pie and those fresh jams. Staff was always so nice and helpful. I can't imagine nicer people. We asked so many questions about the places to visit and places to eat and they always helped . We spent a very relaxing week with our children, the room was comfortable, the breakfast was very good and all the staff very friendly and helpfull. The fact that the room had a balcony with a view to the sea made things even better. The hotel is very closed (across the street) to the seaside, perfect for a nice walk outside. When we arrived at the hotel, we had an excellent explanation about Argostoli and all the island, like if we were at a Tourism Office. The location was great right on the harbour in Argostoli and very close to the shopping, sites and restaurants in the town. This is a very good hotel situated at the heart of Argostoli, Kefalonia. The rooms are very comfortable and are cleaned regularly. A small hotel so you shouldn't expect to do much other than sleep and eat breakfast. Location is good if you want to explore the island by car. The location. We stayed here for the second time, and everything was perfect. The room was really spacious and clean. We had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony and the location was perfect for both the town and exploring the island. Seeing the loggerhead turtles swimming in the harbour was a real bonus. The Tourist hotel is an ideal hotel for travelers who are staying for a few days in Argostoli, or who are taking the early flight from Kefalonia back to Athens. It's probably the best we had in our tour of the Peloponese. Breakfast was excellent. Location and view. The bathroom didn't seem to be renewed like the rest of the room. The only weak point was the shower, there wasn't anything where to put soap or shampoo. nothing. single beds. You need a hook to hang the shower up so you can have a shower without having to hold the shower head with one hand!. The double bed was two single beds pushed together - not sure if that's standard, but the sheets were double sheets stretched across both so it wasn't a big deal. Nothing. rather hot/humid in public passages. Small Room. People were there to help and assist you, but we didn't feel the same warm welcome we had in the other places we went to in the Peloponese. The overall feeling you get is more that you are a tourist like any other rather that you're at home. Dimensions of room and bathroom: quite little considering two people. Very poor sound insulation, the shower cabin is very small even for thin people, single beds, artificial flowers. Very small room very quiet place cant swim mostly very bad.
