Wiesbaden Hotels

I stayed here with my husband who was on business. Previously we had stayed at the Achat Hotel. There is no comparison between the two hotels. The Dorint is far more modern, larger rooms, more amenities, very quiet. The only positive that Achat had over the Dorint is it' s very close proximity to the Marktplaz pedestrian district. But the Dorint is within easy walking distance of that area, just not quite as close for dining. The service is excellent at this hotel. it's very clean and comfor - Ann

The hotel building is absolutely superb. Very historic, and the hotel itself is worth a good look round. The room we had (superior king size non smokiing) was very comfortable, and had plenty of space. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly, and all of them were pleasant. The breakfast choices were very good, although we were surprised, given the price of a room that the measly 9 euros per person was charged on top. My sister and I stayed here, for 4 days, to visit relatives who live in Wiesbaden. Found this gem on the internet and couldn't fault the price we paid. Great location, right in the centre of town, with great shopping and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Couldn't fault the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Free internet access, in lobby and tea and coffee also in lobby, up to 11 am. Great bar and lounge area, just off lobby and drinks reasonably priced. The room was small a - Michael

Very nice modern hotel about 15 minutes walk to downtown. Ate at the Tapas restaurant which was very good. Parking was available round the hotel or in the parking garage. Spa close by. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. - Murray

I agree with many of the previous reviews that this is not up to the normal Crown Plaza experience, however it was reasonably priced and having status with Priority Club, was upgraded to a larger room. The room had a sofa and desk as well as the double bed, fridge and really everything I could need. The breakfast buffet was extensive but not really worth 20 Euro. So if you are a breakfast person, it might be worth getting a rate that includes breakfast. Did not eat at the hotel, so cant comment. - John

This was my third Wiesbaden hotel - I travel there fairly frequently - and now I think I'll stop looking at others. This has to be the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in, in my life. A proper double bed with no twin-mattresses pushed together and the resultant uncomfortable divide down the middle. A well sprung but very deeply cosy bed and Oh Heaven, proper pillows too! I HATE German hotel pillows which are so soft and squashy, but this hotel has proper English beds and proper En - Eileen

We spent one night at Motel One prior to flying back to the States We also wanted to see the Christmas market in town. This hotel filled both those needs well. The hotel is basic, with a small room, very clean and very modern. It is well located next to the train station and about a 20 minute walk into the center of town. Breakfast is NOT included in the room rate, but is 6.5 euros extra per person but is still a pretty good deal for a full buffet. The staff were helpful, but a bit brisk. We wou - David

We stayed at the Admiral Hotel during the first week of the World Cup, and had a great stay. The attention to detail started before we arrived. I was able to correspond by email with the hotel before arrival, and get their advice on train travel within Germany, and other travel planning. Three days before arrival I received a fax outlining the area of the city that was to be closed due to a street festival, and directions to the hotel around the closure. I stayed in this cute hotel with my boyfriend for 2 nights to have a pamparing spa getaway. It is only about 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the Kaiser-Wilhelm Therme, and to the Vine festival venue, too. Out room was decorated in the Biedermeier style (early nineteenth-century, all antique furnitures, high ceiling), but the showeroom was completely modern, though a bit small.
