Daniella, the host was very friendly and thoughtful and waited for us even though they were not obliged to do so. Top that up with a super friendly dog and it gives you a sense of coming home to great friends in staying at the hotel. With the U Bahn just literally at the door step it's a convenient location from which to explore Stuttgart.
Exceptionally nice family-run hotel with a good breakfast, clean rooms, and high-speed (cable, no wifi) internet for 4euro. Just 50 meters from Metzstrasse u-bahn stop, 5 min from main station. Pleasant pub (bonnie and clyde) 2 blocks up.all reviews »
Good location, U-tram just across the hotel and only 4 stations to city center, penny market behind it, good coffeeshop in front the hotel, the owners are very nice and helpfull, hotel very clean.

The breakfast is 7 Euros per person, per day. It seemed a little
expensive to me (although perhaps it's because I've had it
cheaper elsewhere).
It'd be better if the bar (restaurant) in hotel works in the evening.
wooden doors and old lock system together make unbelievable loud noise if somebody is coming in or going out, and noise from outside is terrible too,it's really hard geting sleep if you are light sleeper like me.

The pillows were not that much comfortable.
Too expensive for hostel (E. G. in Frankfurt am Main 40-50 euro is the
price for a double room with bath, but here you get a double room with
shared bathroom for 53 euro). The hostel is in grand mother style.
Toilet not in the room.
Proper cardins would be nice, too light during the night.
