Nice and quiet place, easy access, friendly and kind staff. Staff were very helpful thou we did not speak German.Nice town, friendly staff and good food. Parkin across the street. Quick service - food and beer.I would like better choice of warm meals for breakfast. Pillows were flat with no extras in room, Getting dinner bill took extra long time.

The quality of the dishes and drinks, the reasonable prices, the reliability and friendlyness of the staff made the Hotel & Gasthof "Zum Storch" well-known far beyond the borders of our native land Franconia.
In our à la carte - restaurant with about 60 seats we serve special meals from Franconia, as i.e. the "Aischgründer" carp or the asparagus from the Steigerwald, all of wide variety.
The bond to the native land of the land-lady is reflected in the Basler Stube with its simple elegance. This restaurant with up to 26 seats is ideal for small celebrations, business-meals or conferences.


Information about the area

The MD Hotel is an excellent starting point for hiking, cycling and Nordic walking tours. Many scenic trails can be found nearby. Day-trip options could include an outing to the historic town of Bamberg (30 km away), or an excursion to the city of Nuremberg (60 km away).
