Easy walking distance to central station or indeed right to city centre (half an hour or so) if you like a stroll. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable room - no street noise that we heard. Nice little bar for a cheeky beer after a busy day. Public transport ans a few restaurants all in walking distance. Really enjoyed our city break here.

- Big LCD TV with decent selection of channels -- unfortunately mostly German.
- Friendly and accommodating staff had our room prepared with a baby bed and any request we had was handled quickly and efficiently.

- As long as you accept the fact you will eat breakfast at a nice bakery on the corner of the building and not use their internet, it's a wonderful hotel to stay at.

your first visit to Munich you might prefer being in the densely
touristed area around Marienplatz, but to me this is the place for a

This hotel feels very new and modern, though the decor is traditional Bavarian. It is out of city center and very near the English Garden, which is why we chose it for our last night before flying out of Munich. It was perfect for our needs. Staff were very helpful with our several requests (luggage scales, needed tube to transport posters home, dinner reservations, loaned umbrella.) Restaurant was excellent if a bit pricey.
