  it's a youth hostel in name but its more like a hotel. It's very clean, modern and spacious. The general decor is tasteful and it's quiet. It has 7 floors. The buffet style breakfast is simple but very nice. The room was nice and comfy. At night I couldn't hear other guests or noise from the street. It was good value for money and well located. It... what people say » s across the river so to go to the city centre it's a 15 minute walk across the bridge. In the area around the hostel there are restaurants and some b - I was very surprised by this hotel! I was attending a conference and all hotels were fully booked in Cologne so the only fair option was this hotel. I was expecting a terrible hostel but actually I got a nice and spacious room with a view to the cathedral!!! The room was simple but very clean with a comfortable shower and wc. I highly recommend if you want a great location in Koln for a very good price. Staff was great, breakfast simple. The building is also new. Ask for room 703!

  Everything. I thought it was very budget-friendly for the quality of the facilities. The idea of the separate bed cabins is brilliant. The showers and washrooms are terrific. I loved the decor and the breakfast was adequate enough for the day. Good coffee machine too. The staff were happy to chat and give advice. They seemed very relaxed and inter... what people say » ested in people. I was also impressed in how professional and organised they were. The security is another good thing about this place. Although the a - The hostel is just perfect in everything!! Spent two great days in the hotel and the location is great as you can choose whether you would like to walk or you would like to take the convenient tram outside of the hostel to reach the centre of Cologne. All the decorations in the hostel will make you feel that you are the princess and the bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom and the toilet are clean and warm and you can have a great shower in any time you want which was just so great!! BTW
