  Peter, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, providing extra sheets and speakers for an iPod after we arrived. The apartment is in a quiet part of Karl Marx Strasse, 1 min from the tube, 10 mins walk from Alexanderplatz, 5mins from the Spree, 5 mins from Volkspark, and so is very central. Was just two of us, privacy may be an issue if there are four travelling, but it depends how well you know each other! Facilities are good.   We loved the location but it might not be for everyone, it was not even a 5 minute walk to Alexander platz which was great as where we stayed was quite quiet. The staff were excellent and the hotel was lovely and always immaculate! We didn't get the breakfast so I can't comment on that, but there was bakeries everywhere, so don't feel the need to ... what people say » get it! We had a great time! We would definitely return. - While not most modern it is well maintained & managed. Everything worked as it should and staff friendly and extremely helpful. (Stefanie the best concierge we have sruck - anywhere). Two minutes walk to public transport and tickets available at hotel. Complimentary croissants and coffee from 5.30 to 6.30 great for early departure.
