Lovely room, spacious with marble bathroom - free car parking ( not far from hotel) good food in restaurants and at breakfast. Resort quite near to Titisee and all other black forest sights. The buildings are beautiful, as is the decor. There is every facility you could ever want and the parkland grounds are stunning. The hotel is in a beautiful location. The staff could not be more friendly. We shall definitely stay again.

Important information to guests

Information about the area

On the hotel grounds, guests can play beach volleyball, boules, boccia, badminton and croquet, wander along the romantic tree-lined paths, or just while the days away on the lawn.

Explore the region on foot or by bike. Make sure to visit the neighbouring Baroque church with its onion dome, built in 1416.

The historical city of Freiburg, the Titisee and Schluchsee lakes and the rest of the Black Forest region are well worth a visit.

Ski slopes, cross-country-skiing routes, Nordic Walking and mountain bike trails, tennis courts, stables and golf courses are all near to the hotel.

Travelling information

By car:

If approaching from the A5 Karlsruhe – Basel motorway, take the exit Freiburg-Mitte. In Freiburg take route B31, direction Donaueschingen, for 25 kilometres and then take the exit for Hinterzarten.

If approaching from the A81 Stuttgart – Singen motorway, take the exit Donaueschingen/Freiburg. Take route B31, direction Freiburg/Titisee for 30 kilometres and then take the exit for Hinterzarten.

If approaching from Zürich on route B500 to Waldshut carry on in direction Schluchsee until Bärental. In Bärental take route B317, direction Titisee which continues onto route B31, direction Freiburg. After 5 kilometres take the exit for Hinterzarten.

By train:

Take the IC or EC regional trains to Freiburg. Change in Freiburg onto the famous Höllentalbahn train which runs to Hinterzarten every 30 minutes. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the train station.
