Arrived late because of weather, staff excellent check in quick and easy. Lena even gave us her own food as restaurant closed lovely girl. All staff nice but Lena went beyond her duties.Breakfast selection brill, even a boiled egg to order. Lovely restaurant for evening meals great food and service with a smile,again Lena(checked us in and waitressing) was particularly nice even gave us a free glass of champagne 0n our wedding anniversary. Cosy clean rooms all over excellent.Would highly recomm.
all reviews » The room was very large with a separate room for off the suite for our older daughter. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is very good with fresh baked rolls each morning. Location is 1 minute walk from Hauptstrasse but enough away to be quiet for sleeping. Staff very helpful in getting a taxi and other assist. Registering was a piece of cake and had all the info printed out from letsbookhotel.com. This was our second stay in two years and am still very satisfied with the hotel. Once you locate the hotel, the location is very very centric. However, finding it on the GPS is not straight forward since no car access is available. The rooms are roomy, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the new section which had wifi issues (no access at all). Breakfast has good variety and good service. We liked staying at the hotel. Once we found this gem tucked into the surrounding inner city of Heildelburg we discovered not only a great room with great conveniences a perfect location to see the sights. We enjoyed the Christmas Markets, the castle and the sights along the river. And ...a note to self ... take in the restaurant on the property ...its excellent. Location. We were two couples visiting for the Christmas market and Old Town. Easy and short walk to both. Rooms 33 and 34 were upstairs and very large. Would use these again. My wife and I have stayed here many times and have seen this hotel change decor, restaurant and focus. We will come back again because of the location. we stayed in the triple room at the ground floor. the room is big even with extra bed. the toilet is spacious and with facility for disabled. great location. right in the center of the town. convenient for sightseeing and shopping. Everithing was up to our expectations: staff, cleaness, location and breakfast. Particularly suggested to those who don't want to drive once in HD but be aware thre is a limited number of parking lots in the hotel... It is modern style hotel. There is parking lot. But it cannot reserve. There is also an elevator, so it is good for the traveler who has big luggage. The location is very near to the shopping street in the old town. The staff were super accommodating. Everything was clean and well look after and we had some changes that needed to be made to our reservation and the staff bent over backwards to help. Staff was extremely helpful, and the atmosphere is more like a country inn than a city hotel, even though you are right in the middle of the "old city" (tourist area) of Heidelberg!. We were travelling with our 2 sons aged 3 years and 11 months. The hotel provided a large suite (room 23) with two bedrooms and a babybed. It was perfect for us. It is located right in the town centre. It is within walking distance to the castle and many shops and restaurants. Parking is available in the courtyard. staffa were woderful, location was perfect, though the entrance was a bit tricky. Cantact the hotel to explain how to get to the entrance you will be OK. Bathroom is a bit small, but bigger than lots of German bathrooms. TV was older and did not have HDMI plug for personal use. Pillows do not provide much support. Even so, it wasn't that hot. No bathtub, but that is common. No exercise facilities, but that's common in this kind of setting. It was really hot and there is no air conditioning. There is no fridge in the room. The bathroom is in need of some redecoration, but still very clean. Breakfast is sufficiënt, but not more than that. Some local products would be nice. Expensive. Room very nice but rather small for price. Parking limited. Car parking is limited, however it is very unusual for Hotels in this central location to be able to offer any car parking - so not really a "didn't like". Unfortunately the restaurant/bar was having work done to it so it was closed, just bad timing for us I'm sure it will be an asset when it reopens we didn't take this as a negative. No working wifi for us whole stay. Hard to find, no fridge in room. Limited parking for travellers by car. No fridge. Internet connection problems. number of parking very limited for traveler by car. poor wifi access, rude staffs.
