Hamburg Jacuzzi / Whirlpool Hotels

Just stayed at the Park Hyatt on a trip that also included the Regent in Berlin and the Kempinski Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, so this comparison is in heady company. The rooms certainly represent a modern take on luxury, so if you like Baroque, this might not be your spot. Personally, I like any style as long as it is well-executed in details, and the Park Hyatt is for sure. I was having hard time finding hotel in city center, I found this place for two nights and never left the premises. It is fanstastic, a special experience (I would not stay here if you are looking to hang out in jeans and everyday shirts)... the staff does EVERYTHING possible to make you stay the best you have ever experienced. OK, it is outside of Hamburg but who needs the City Center and everything else if you have the chance to stay there. I really enjoyed my 3 nights at the Treudelberg last week. We had a company meeting and used all the facilities. "Oh my god" is the best way to describe my stay. I stayed at th Atrium, which seems to be the newer wing of the Hotel. I stayed at the Grand Elysee because of its proximity to the Hamburg congress centre and I was impressed in every way. The room was very spacious, bright and elegant. The beds must have been new and very very comfortable. There is free cable internet and a nice size desk, which is very convenient if you're there on a work trip. I've stayed over two weeks at the Madison on business and I'd certainly go back. The staff are charming and efficient, the rooms are well proportioned, the bathrooms work well, the internet connection is fast (but not free). Most importantly, for me, there's an enormous gym attached the hotel. I believe there is also a pool. Another great plus is that if you give the reception a shopping list they will fill the fridge and cupboards of your kitchenette with whatever you desire. The hotel has jus - Beverley

It's been quite a while since the last time I've stayed here, however I wanted to praise this hotel, as it has been a really pleasurable experience back in August 2008. The hotel is just a short taxi ride from the "Hauptbahnhof" and only a short walk from the city center. It's situated along a busy street, but even when you have a room facing the lake (which I did) you're not at all disturbed. well me and the wife ditched the kids with the inlaws for a little getaway and a trip to the musical (tarzan). Parking: upon arival there is a valat parking service at the rear of the hotel the car went in to a secure parkinfg facility under the hotel. We stayed at the Marriott for three nights in December, and had booked a large business-room with breakfast included. The price for the room was quite high, so we expected the hotel to be good. Which it turned out to be! Our room was close to 40 sqm, beautifully furnished, good sitting-area, great bed, stylish and well-equipped bath-room with tub, and free minibar (except for a bottle of red wine, which could be bought for a reasonable price). Hotel Eggers is located in the Hamburg suburb of Rahlstedt, a bit long for a daily tourist commute into downtown Hamburg, a bus/subway/train ride of about 45 min depending on which combination you take. The rooms are modern with a shower, wifi, and a good-sized closet but no bureau (small shelves in closet). I spend much time away from home and have stayed at this hotel regularly. It compares very favourable to other hotels, even to those much more expensive. The rooms generally are basic but comfortable and most importantly I have always found them to be clean! I am a bit of a nut when it comes to a cleanliness and having a clean bed, carpet and bathroom makes all the difference. The bathrooms don't have a trace of mildew.
