Hamburg Family Friendly Rooms Hotels

We found a good price and booked online through Expedia. The booking said a “large room”, but we ended up in a suite, and it was fantastic! The furnishings were modern and comfortable- the bed was great! We had a nice sitting area, where I enjoyed reading, and a huge walk-in closet (love to be organized!) It was like having a nice apartment in the middle of the Schanzenviertel, a really cool neighborhood in Hamburg. The hotel is a 5 min walk from the subway, and 10 minutes in the other directio - Patrick

TIP: If you want to park your car for free then park at Nobistor Strasse. Its very close to the hostel. We stayed for 4 nights in the red room - a double room with shower. It was perfect. Clean, spacious and with a nice view. The bed was a bit hard though. You can rent bikes at the hostel and the breakfast is nice too. All in all very recommendable. - Patricia

This is a wonderful hotel in a residential part of Hamburg. Hotel was spotless and exactly as in pictures. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with plenty for everyone. Italian across the street, Ristorante Remo's, was also excellent and worth a visit. Will definately stay in this hotel next time in Hamburg. This hotel was excellent. - Rachel

Magnificent 2x 2m bed!!!!! And ONLY 3 metro stations from Hamburg centre!!! And very good bus connection to hotel: bus stop is 50metres from hotel doors!!!!! And all roomas have balcony!!!!!!! We stayed here as part of large group. This place can get quite busy, but they are well organised. Food isnt great, infact the Food supervisor, was a bit on the messy side of things.That could do with improvement. The staff at the front desk were really helpful, although the one male worker, has such limited English skill, you have to ask him the same thing 4 times, and then hope, that by some chance he will understand.The other staff were very helpful, and spoke English extremely well. We booked the Junges Hotel through the Tourist Office at Hauptbahnhof. We were very pleased with our entire experience at the Junges. The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and warm. The bathroom was clean and we had good water pressure in the shower. Reception staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in Europe. We ate dinner at the hotel dining room one night; the food was very good and reasonably priced. Overall we felt the Junges was excellent va - Thomas

The Hotel Garni Mittelweg is more like a family owned friendly little castle. The is not actually a restaurant, but the breakfast romm is really something to write home about. They have a lovely choice od dishes from freshly baked rolls to home baked cakes/pastries as well as cold cuts and cheeses. The hotel is located in one of the more posh/residential areas of Hamburg but very close to the city center as well. So if you are looking for good food in the evening several good restaurants are - Luke

The hotel is a little out of the city center and located in a small business park (only office buildings) , which makes it quiet in the evenings and nights. There are at least two convenient bus connections into town, it takes about 20 minutes (you should buy a day pass from the driver for multiple journeys). Rooms are big enough and have queen bed+ a sofa, of course cable-TV and a small working space. Internet was of no importance for us, so I cannot tell you if it is provided. Bathroom clean - Nigel
