Garmisch-Partenkirchen Hotels

Had a great 6 day stay at this hotel. Close to a lot of attractions. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The room was a wee bit small, but it was just myself in the room and I only slept there. So no problem at all. - Mr

We stayed in this lovely hotel for two nights during our ten days long trip which also included some other German and Austrian towns. We booked it online. On arrival everything was fine, staff was very friendly. We booked a triple room, but were still amazed when we realized how huge the room really was. Nice vintage furniture (which I personally prefer to the modern style). Beside the large double bed there was a big leather sofa which was used as the third bed. We paid extra for the larger room with balcony and mountain view, well worth the money for 5 nights for us retired travelers. Very quiet, across from a river. Just three minutes walk to pedestrian street and 15 to train , got cheap Bayern pass there to Munich and trolleys. Superb breakfast and cheerful staff. All no -smoking rooms, inexpensive wi fi. Tiny but new bathrooms in old high celinged rooms with two beds.Will stay again. Helpful bi-ligual staff, Hans was great. - Clive

We stayed at the Obermuehle for 4 nights and enjoyed ourselves. We had no problems whiel there. We had a room in the annex which is accessible form both the back entrance or through the passage behind the chcek-in desk. We took our liuggage in through the outside entrance and up the elevator, then used the passage way for meals etc. The rooms are older, but were clean and had a nice balcony with two chairs overlooking the mountains. There were six of us (3 couples) traveling together. When booking this hotel I noticed that four of us could stay in a suite and each couple would still have our own bathroom and a separate entrance-so it was really 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a short hall. The other couple got a double room that was very nice-but our price was better when we split the suite. All 3 rooms had wonderful views of the mountains and the rooms were quite spacious. While traipsing around Bavaria, a friend and I stayed at the Vier Jahreszeiten in Garmisch. I really enjoyed the old-style feel of the lobby and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was great, with a balcony that afforded great views of the surrounding mountains. If there was one drawback to the room was their definition of a double room. We expected two beds, as typical of a doubleroom (doppelzimmer) but instead, there were two beds but put together in a single frame, separat - Heather

I stayed here for 4 nights with my wife in mid march. I would recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a comfortable, lovely hotel in this characteristic town. There were plenty of free parking space for the guests arriving by car which is not usual in every hotel. We had a very clean, cosy apartment with a fantastic view to the snowy mountains. We didn't try the restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the breakfast served there was really unique. Wide variety of delicious cold and warm meals, c - Abhishek
