Freiburg im Breisgau Hotels

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The hotel takes a little bit of finding as it is located up some small streets at the top of the hill – but its well worth it. The hotel is signposted, and if you have SatNav it’s quite easy to find. All the rooms have a fantastic view of the city of Freiburg and the surrounding area. We stayed at this hotel for two nights in June. We were looking for the tourist office after arriving by train, and found that to be closed. Just on the other side of the square we saw the signs for this hotel, and popped in to ask if they had room for a family of four. They had, and it turned out to be a spacious apartment on the top floor, with a separate bedroom and TV/DVD for our two children, and a spacious bedroom with TV/DVD for us. A very charming little hotel in the center of Freiburg. It’s a block away from to the pedestrian street and across the street from the Colombi park (great for dog walks). The staff was very friendly and welcomed us with a drink at the lobby. The front desk lady spoke multiple languages (English and Spanish fluently) and was extremely helpful. The lady in charge of breakfast went out of her way to help us have a nice breakfast in bed for our birthdays. Very sweet! The breakfast buffet had lots of - Catherine

My mother and 3 of my aunts stayed for one night. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good and the friendly staff had functional English. If I go back to Freiburg, I will be booking this one again. - Richard

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Rheingold on four different trips (the first stay was an accident; we obviously enjoyed the experience). Nice, relatively large, clean rooms with hardwood floors, great beds (with duvet), and quiet -- despite being only a short walk to the train station. This used to be a 3 or 4 star hotel (two years ago), and I would definitely agree with that rating; I don't know why LetsBookHotel displays only a 2 star grade. This is a nice hotel located a few km outside of Freiburg in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are decorated in cottage style with white washed furniture and warm accents. The room was clean and updated. The bathroom was decent with a shower and no tub. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. We had a really good dinner with excellent service. The breakfast buffet was also good. There was a pretty dining terrace too. The parking garage was great. The hotel even reserved us our own parking s - John

We have just returned from 4 days in the beautiful city of Freiburg and the location of this hotel was fantastic so near everything. The rooms were very clean and the staff were helpful . We didnt avail of the breakfast as there were lots of places on the main street (1 minute walk). The Munster cathedral and square are 1/ 2 minutes away. Trams are just around the corner. We will stay here again ! - Felix

This was my third time staying at the Colombi and it was just as wonderful as the first two. The service is impeccable and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I travelled alone this past summer, but I was there in 2006 with my wife and three children and the kids loved it (especially the large pool). Breakfast was included and is served each morning in a beautifully decorated hall on the 2nd floor. We stayed at this hotel for six days, mid March, having made a reservation through the HRS website. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, and throughout our six night stay we were totally satisfied with the service we received. The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast options were extensive, and all the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. Without a doubt this hotel provided everything we expected, and more....As a member of a group of hotels we will look into staying at - Josephine
