This is the best Hotel I've stayed in Germany. You could find Asian noodles at breakfast which provide several choices, good location-opposite to railway station and close to tram and bus station. There's snack bar at lobby counter providing soft drinks, cake and fruits to all guests. Free internet accessibility, free of charge to use mini bar at your room and free for one shirt/skirt dry wash...
all reviews » This is my 3rd stay here and I enjoyed my room even more this time--It was a large twin with a full bath not just a shower and very roomy for a 3 star hotel. The breakfast is one of the best and the free mini bar is a nice touch--the mine bar was really cold so the liquids esp. refreshing. The location, next to the train station makes it a breeze in and out of airport better than airport hotels.The friendly staff bent over backwards to make us welcome ( complimentary tea/coffee/cake, complimentary contents of minibar in bedroom, free internet access). More importantly, we had specific needs for the packaging of our bikes for our flight to Australia following our 2 month bike tour of Europe, and the staff did everything they could to assist us. Excellent breakfast; central location. The perfect position just opposite the Frankfurst Hbf east exit 20meters , this statation has a lot of shops opening till very late ; the free coffee ,tea and cake at ther reception and free mini bar in room was so nice ; moreover , free wireless in room or you can free using their computers at business center ..the man at the receoption can speak good English and very helpful .whilst we had read a couple of reviews indicating that the lifts were slow, the mini bar was not stocked regularly, and the reception staff were not so polite, we found each of these things to be unfounded, as the mini bar was fully stocked daily (and free) and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and spoke good english. Staying in the Hotel Excelsior, I realized that it is not just the number of stars in a hotel that gives you comfort, it is the facilities, staff care and frienidly atmosphere which make you feel at home. The facilities provided for doing business and have a break in the lobby was great.This was the best hotel of our trip! The breakfast was very completewith many choices. The staff very helpful in finding restaurants andwith help in understanding the subway system to the airport (12 minutesride). I would definately try for this hotel on future travels. More a comment on the booking system, we have booked a number of hotelsthrough booking.com and asked for a double only to be given a twin.I stayed with my fiancee and we had seprate beds. That was likely my fault for not looking into the sleeping arrangements more carefully. The walls must have been very thin because I could hear people in the other rooms getting up very early in the morning.Everything was great. I just wish the room had air conditioning.No, but I would mention this is a three star hotel which I prefer to the more expensive 5 star ones. the only complaint i would ever have about the hotel is the fact that there is no air conditioner.
