The large room with sitting area overlooking the pedestrian area was ideal for our group of four people to relax with a glass of the local wine after a day's sightseeing. The staff was very friendly. The room was bright and clean. The facilities were good. Location is excellent too. Very satisfied!! Thank you!. The location was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, the hotelwas very clean and well organised. I will definately stay there again.

These provided ideal spaces for relaxing after the sensational walks in the hills behind Bernkastel. Close to town centre and river tours. Stayed with adult family members and both comfort and superior rooms were excellent. This was our 2nd visit to this hotel and we will definitely stay again.this hotel is in a great location....close to river and center of village...quant and charming. The hotel is ideally situated for this wonderful town. The staff could not have been more helpful as we found our car battery flat in the morning and the staff went out of their way to help us on our way. Location of the hotel is very central and they have their own parking which is a bonus. I would stay again in the hotel without doubt. Comfortabl room and good central location.location. Very clean, central location and well equipped rooms with newer decor.The church bell at 7.00am was very loud but of course it was not the hotel's fault. Don't forget to close the window before going to bed...!. There are tired looking silk floral arrangements everywhere that give the hotel a dated, even dusty feel, when in fact it is fresh and current in most ways.This is not directly aimed at the hotel, but the church bells (from a church which is next to the hotel) do go off every hour throughout the day and night, and for about 5 mins at 7am. If you have the windows shut in your room you should be ok, but if not you will most definately be woken up!! The church bells didn't put us off but it's only fair to mention it. Alot of noise from outside as its near a main walking street and square. No air conditioning or fans in warm June weather meant the window had to be kept open and there was alot of noise on a Friday night from outside. We would like to have rented bikes from the hotel, but we were told they didn't have any.Check-out time 11 am, came back at 10.30 am and our luggage was out of the room standing in the corridor, everybody could have taken our luggage or could have stolen something.

Hotel information details

Originally built by Josef Binz as a guest house and butcher's shop, the hotel was destroyed in World War II and rebuilt in 1951. It is still run by the Binz family today.

You can drive to the hotel to check in and offload your luggage, and then proceed to the car park. Parking tickets can be purchased at the property.
