Excellent value for money hotel.Very central location, across the road from KaDeWe store and underground station. Area felt very safe, important as we were an all girl group. Hotel itself was very clean and comfortable and supplied a good breakfast. Staff were helpful although some had limited English. When this was a problem they phoned someone who could speak English. Central location next to ka de we and u bahn.Very nice family run hotelwith character. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds.Excellent buffetbreakfast.Hotel stuff is extremely friendly and helpfull. We was offeredtea and coffee with snacks when we came back to collect ourluggage.Definitely book again next time in Berlin.
all reviews » It is not a concrete and glass structure that is just like the majority of hotels in the world, interesting location, big rooms and in my case the view was stimulating rather than looking out onto the concrete backside of other buildings. The place has character and I will certainly book again when next visiting Berlin. . We found that the location of the Hotel was excellent. The staff very efficient and friendly. The knowledge of several languages in the staff made it very easy for us. Sylvia spoke excellent Spanish. The breakfast was also very good and convenient.The hotel is in a great position very close to the underground station (Wittenberg Platz U2), the room was big and always clean, the staff was cordial and helpufulness. the location was excellent with the U-Bahn station opposite the platz and good restaurants and a supermarket adjacent; the room was quiet and clean. It was comfortable, clean and had everything you need to stay comfortably in Berlin and it's in the city centre. hotel staffs were very kind. the location was really amazing.. just in front of tube station..They attended us very kindly, they are the perfect people for a place like a small hotel. Close to train station, and everything in Berlin. A mirror on the wall in the room would be useful.Owners need to be better at speaking english. Also the code for the wireless internet should be given as standard when you arrive. We couldnt use the internet because we forgot to ask for it when we arrived. were young, but if older there is no elevator. There was dust under the bed. Otherwise it was very clean. A map cost us one euro. Other hotels have provided this free. This is a pension not a hotel, so it is not for eveyone because (1) there is no elevator to 2nd floor location, (2) reception closes sometimes during the day as well as evenings, and (3) reception is not multilingual.A child was running upstairs all the time. It was summer and the sun rises at about 4:30am. The curtains were totally transparent. Can be noisy first thing in the morning with restaurants moving garbage bins around.Take care that you must have your own soap-shampoo. Difficult to find the hotel as no sign outside. We wished for a double bed but that was not available. We got two beds pushed together.

Right outside our front foor you find the underground station Wittenbergplatz, enabling access to the lines U2 and U1 as well as numerous buses. Kurfürstendamm and Tauentzienstraße are within easy reach, and offer countless boutiques, restaurants, bars and shopping centres.

Visit the market at Wittenbergplatz, make a detour around Nollendorfplatz with its potpourri of pubs and cosy bars, or visit the area by Kantstraße and Savignyplatz, home to several Asian shops and excellent restaurants.

- Then take metro U2 until exit Wittenbergplatz.
