The position was fantastic. S Bahn outside the door, yet only two blocks and you were over the ever at the first Museums . Trams outside the door also. Staff were more helpful and friendly than anywhere else, happy to make me a cup of tea late at night. Washing facilities, everything new, large room and bathroom. Plenty of lounge and outdoor courtyard area. Breakfast for 5.90€ excellent value and very comprehensive and nice. Matti was extra helpful as was a female staff member with great Englis.
all reviews » Great location for exploring berlin, easy walk to all major site's and metro right outside front door. Place was very clean, room was a good size, had a good bathroom, was quiet and was very cheap for quality of rooms. Building also had a kitchen available to use and also free washing machine and dryer which is very handy. It's a mix of dorms and private hotel rooms (which i had) and i would stay here again when in Berlin. I normally do not provide feedbacks but this time I feel like I am oblidged to do so as the customer service and the hotel topped the max points that I can give. Absolutely top customer service and hotel is located in the city center and not far from other suburbs or West-City center. Very good for value and I will definitely recommand this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Berlin. First impressions was that it was full of back-packers / students and I drew a sharp intake of breath. However, the rooms are modern, very clean, free WiFi, TV. They're also quiet - although there were a lot of groups of youngsters, I didn't hear any noise from them. Location is excellent. Right next to the S-Bahn station and only ten minutes' walk from the shops on Friedrichstraße. The reception staff were fantastic friendly and so helpful alghough i have to mention that miserable young girl on the breakfast shift on sun morning 29 sept was rude arrogant and extremly unhelpful she spoilt my image of the otherwise fantastic staff. Everything else with the hotel was great location the best and i found the rooms spacious and clean a very enjoyable stay. Wonderful central Berlin location, right next to the train station and near all the sights, shops, restaurants etc. Clean, modern, comfortable rooms. An excellent all-you-can-eat breakfast at a very cheap extra price. Very friendly and helpful staff. And everything worked! And all for the price of a cheap B & B in Britain - amazing value!. From the Tegel airport you may get to the hotel with 1 bus and 1 subway, it's really easy, you take the bus to Gesundbrunnen and then line S1 to Wannsee, stop at Oranienburg Strasse - take care not to step the same line to Oranienburg, wich is a town outside Berlin. The hotel is just in front of the subway, enjoy!. * Extremely friendly staff - definitely best servicing experience during my whole trip in Berlin * Room was very clean * Very good placement - S-bahn and bus/tram stops are right in front of the building and actually a walking trip to Alex. platz doesn't take more than ~15 minutes. * Would definitely come back. Despite mentioning free WiFi in public areas only, they've provided me with a free WiFi login/password that could be used in the room as well. The location of the hotel is more than convenient. Brandenburg gate, Alexanderplatz with TV tower, Museum island - all within walking distance! If you want to explore the city further, there is an S-bahn station right in front of the hotel (you can buy tickets at the reception). Me and my husband stayed there for 5 days. I think it's the best place to stay in Berlin. Outside the hotel is an S-Bahn station and there are also a lot of restaurants, and bars. That rude miserable girl on the breakfast shift. The bed was on a kind of mezzanine level, very quirky and fun, but awkward if you need to go to the loo at night. But then, this is central Berlin. * It was kind of expected but still - room was quite small * In the evening, the Oranienburger strase is quite filled with hookers looking for clients - they are quite pushy on offering their services and its not a nice experience (at least you can avoid them partly by travelling by other streets). The room was a little small for three people. Unfortunately the room was very small for two people and with a dimmed light what made it look a little depressive! Also walls were dirty! Could hear loud music at night so wouldn't recomend it for families with small babies!. The noise from the street at night can be heard in the room even with the window closed, but not to an unbearable extent. Since Oranienburger Straße is a busy street, it is possible that some of the hotel guests might be disturbed by the busy night life and frequently passing night trams. Maybe breakfast was a little poor. It didn't had many choices but it was ok for 5 euro. Breakfast wan't very good. Area was slightly seedy but still felt safe. Hotel is also a Hostel so you tend to get groups of excitable students on trips, so can get a bit noisy. Fine to use as a cheap central base, but not for those wanting luxury. The sheets need to be changed more often, they were not changed once while we were there, and i was not convinced they had been changed before we arrived as they were a little dirty. - If you need a parking slot, contact the hotel directly. Writing in comments that you need one doesn't work. We realized that only when arrived. But hotel gave us a discount to another parking on the same block. - No conditioning, so we had to open windows. But there was A LOT of noise from the street. There was a cafe or something right under our windows and people were laughing and screaming there till 5 am. The hotel tended to be crowded with kids, especially at breakfast. I was on the 5th floor, and the single lift was very hard to catch. It could be noisy too, and guests did not appear to be bothered if they made a row early am. The rooms are extremly small. It is too noisy at night as the young people are up untill 1:00 AM at the two sides of the hotels and due to the lack of air conditioning, the windows cannot be closed at night. Wifi Internet was free throughout hotel, but it usually took 15-30 minutes to get connected and would drop out. There were wireless access points in the hall outside the rooms, so I suspect they limit the number of connections! I would be willing to pay a few Euro per day for a reliable high speed connections anytime. Part of the hotel operated as a hostel and had a lot of youth tour groups, but our room was quiet. Nothing much to say!. There is no parking place ! ever other things was good. Not very quiet street. At the evening you may see some night girls on the way to Alexanderplatz. Poor wi fi connection. Could maybe do with a tea/coffee tray in the rooms -would happily pay a little extra for this. Eventhough I was told that after 10pm, the entrance to the hotel would be with the room key card, the door was wide open. Breakfast room was very busy and crowded, but this didn't really bother us. As it was plus 30 degrees outside we missed an air conditioner. Breakfast was a little basic. If you're unlucky, your room may be close to those booked by a group of noisy (and rather drunk) clubbers... the very nice staff changed our room right away. Noise from street, stair steep if your a bit older or have knee issues would be difficult. Our linen were changed only once in our 8th day stay, they could have changed it more often. Nothing. We had a quadruaple room.. One set of bunkbeds.. We would have rathered four singles.. But this was okay considering the price. Very limited for food in the hotel..I.E. Pre-maid sandwiches etc. but one can walk out the door and find several places. I missed very much kittle in the room for personal use;. Nothing, at all, to complain about.
