Great location for all the huge amount of bars/restaurants etc of the area, but quiet rooms overlooking large inner courtyard. Also only 4 stops on ubahn to alexanderplatz.alos close to a tram taking you all the way round danzigerstrasse direct to the heart of another great hangout area called prenzlauer berg. ( cultural brewery and prater beergarden etc...). everything spotlessly clean. Was given a good sized double for sole occupancy which was much appreciated. Really nice to kick back on the.
all reviews » Location of this hotel is very good! It was easy to get there from airport Schönefeld sxf‏. You can take Airport Express train rb14 and get to "Alexanderplatz" station. Change here to subway u5 line following to "Hönow". Get off on "Frankfurter Tor" station and just walk a bit to hotel. It was pretty silent in the evening as well as in the morning when I woke up. Big comfortable room was nice designed!. The Hotel Zarenhof more than exceeded our expectations. The rooms were beautiful, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The location allowed for easy access to restaurants, the metro and museums. The airport lost our luggage for 3 days and the staff notified us immediately when it finally arrived. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again in the future. Spacious comfortable and clean rooms, excellent cuisine and friendly staff, interesting design of the interior - Russian imperialist style. Quite convenient location - close to Frankfurter Tor metro station. No negative impression, take your chance to stay there, it's worth it!. The staff were so friendly from the start. We loved the location and the old building, especially the staircase! There was just the breakfast room by reception, and a drinks service provided by receptionist. ( still 2 decent bars within 50 metres if you need to wait for friends..). - It was a bit chilly in my room. - No bath kit. I expected to have at least toothpaste there. Our friends stayed at a different hotel down the road and they had free coffee, tea and mineral water. We were jealous!. There was nothing to dislike. The bed was very comfortable but my only complaint really would be the cover was a bit small for a person sleeping in a single bed. It didn't cover that well. The location-a bit long way from the city centre...also the room cleaning isn't very good,,they left the dust in the bathroom. The staff was always polite and helpful but it would be nice if more than one people was working at the reception desk, when more than one client is present, as I had to wait quite a lot on more than one occasion. No negative sides. Bit of a hike from the S-Bahn with packs and baby, but that's not the hotel's fault!. No bar in the hotel. Everything was OK for a period of my staying. Nothing. Bed is not comfortable. No Bar on premises. Electrical kettle and tea bags are not available in room. Nothing to dislike. The bed mattress was a bit on the hard side. no coffee making facilities or mini bar in the room. a bit crowded at breakfast - as the hotel was full, and spaces between tables small, it was not easy to go to the buffet and back. We didnt like the noisey street works everyday. The lack of airconditioning, also no fan available during the heatwave. The lift didnt work during the heatwave. A small bar fridge would have been nice.
