For a short ( 3 night) stay in central Berlin, we found it very good value for money. The rooms were very basic, but clean. We were really only at the hotel for sleeping and breakfast. (Not so good if you expect to spend a lot of time in your room; e.g. no tv). The staff were friendly and helpful and were happy to give us recommendations on where to find a good/inexpensive meal, as well as tourist information. Breakfast was also basic, but it was fine and there was plenty. Free parking outside. all reviews »
It was clean, friendly and great location, near to the city and transport facilities. Would go back for sure.24h reception and bar, nice atmosphere!. The room decor was very basic and the seal on the windows weren't very good. it was -10 during our stay and there was a freezing flow of air through the window.Our double room was too small, I couldn't put my suit case anywhere notto be bothered by it on my way. So this hotel is for sleeping maybe onenight or two, not for staying for a week for example. For the price of a single room at 68Euros I'm sure I could of done muchbetter with a bit more shopping. 68Euros gave me a very plain room, abathroom, and a large window out onto their central courtyard. Thebathroom door looked like somebody had tried to ram a hammer into it.Heater did not seem to work, whatever the case I had a million dollarsleep there, hard to complain otherwise.No tv och radio, lots of noice from the other customers, breakfast was bad,. people were smoking in the lobi and outside the rooms.realy bad atmosphere!!! second - the heating pipes made a lot of noise and banging and made it immpossible to get some sleep. third- we ordered a double bed but got to single beds that were pushed together.The noise level was very high. This really remains a place for young-adults. The walls have no insulation so the noise just spreads withevery step, giggle, shout. the way it was situated reception in the 4 th floor had to walk long and passes 4 door to get there it was like an old prison or a convent .The woman at reception was very rude. I'm not sure why. I booked a double room and when I asked about this she proceeded to lecture me about European hotels never having doubles, the next day when the rooms were being cleaned we passed the open doorway of a room with a double bed.....so she also directly lied in her defensiveness.

Should you not find our hotel right away, the reason could be that Hotel Transit is situated in a typical Berlin courtyard in the Kreuzberg district. Travelling information
Our hotel is centrally located and close to the underground stations Mehringerdamm and Hallesches Tor. You can reach Kurfürstendamm/Zoologischer Garten and Friedrichstrasse in 10 minutes by underground. The bus number M19 offers a 24 hour service to and from the Kurfürstendamm. Next underground stop is 'Mehringdamm'
Arriving at the mainstation take 'S-Bahn' to Friedrichstrasse and change to 'U-Bahn' U6 direction 'Alt-Mariendorf' and leave at 'Mehringdamm', follow Mehringdamm, cross over Yorckstrasse and the next on the right is Hagelberger Strasse.
