Unlike many European elevators, the lift was large enough to accomodate two people and luggage. Our floor was attractively decorated, as was the room. The staff cherfully stored our luggage after check-out.

Difficult to find hotel staff who spoke any other language than High German, although I could order in Italian or English in the bar/restaurant downstairs. There are some problems: the staircase is unpleasant, the walls in room are slim, so you can hear a lot from the corridor. The worst was the stink of cigarette smoke in the room. You could do nothnig to change this situation.a little desk / table in the rooms would help, cleaning could be improved. Outside signeage was non existent- hotel is on second floor - I only found this out when asking a resident of the building who had to call to the hotel for directions. I've seenbetter two-stars hotels. there is not wireless internet how it was explain during the reservation. the lady at the reception spoke only german. And the place where they were serving breakfast looked really cheep. Toilet in the hallway. I arrived late and I had to walk up two flights of dark stairs without any indication of where I should go, or whether I was in the correct place.Couldn't get breakfast on a second morning as staff didn't open at the advertised time and we had organised taxi to meet train based on when they said breakfast was!. the rooms were very small, just basic...no "nice" hotel feeling....just a bed and a good shower....I think they could use some more decoration (paintings and nicer curtains) and a little bit of more comfort...like a watercooker some tea and coffee for example...just a little more at home feeling.noisy.
