Aurora is in a great part of Berlin, close to great boutiques, cafes and a huge market on Sundays. It is close to public transport to the centre of the city. My private room was clean as were the shared bathrooms. Staff were helpful in recommending what to see and do in Berlin. . It was by far the best hostel-style stay I've had anywhere in my travels. The staff was exactly what one would expect at a top-level hostel, the design interesting, the rooms clean. It was an excellent experience.all reviews »
The hostel was clean and, well equipped and had a great sense of style. The staff were always friendly and helpful. the hostel is very comfortable. very warm welcome! rooms are nice and you have everything you expect in a hostel - plus the helpful staff. A good public transport conection to the main attractions (U2). free internet, big rooms. Location. Friendly staff, good location, very clean hostel. Good service.service. Good transport links, nice area.rooms are full of light -also in the morning. You don't sleep very long, but you are not in Berlin for sleeping. i think the rooms decoration could be much nicer. No lift. No breakfast. Rooms should be cleaned daily, or at least the rubbish removed (we had neither for 4 nights), tea and coffee facilities should be available to all 24/7, to be better value the hostel really should try and install a small kitchen area so that guests don't have to eat out every night. Hostels need to be thinking that they are for budget travellers, thus many of us like to save money and cook a meal. Poor sound isolation, was bothered by noise from other rooms and creaking floors. Not that we didn't like it but they don't offer breakfast and they sent us across the street and there we didn't like it. Verry close it was an Restaurant with indian specialities and the food it was verry good and cheap for lunch or dinner. (Shawa or something like this was the name).The rooms were quite basic so no wardrobes etc. The walls and ceiling were also very thin and so you could hear everyone walking up the corridors or opening their doors. The showers were poor. The bedroom floor did not get cleaned or the bins emptied-I would have mopped it myself!.
