Within minutes of clicking "book now", our experience with Restaurant Pension Bei-der-Post was nothing short of wondeful. Becky and Gary immediately sent a personalized email thanking my wife and I for our booking, offering to answer any questions we had. I wrote back asking if we could store our luggage at their inn (since we would be arriving prior to check-in) while we explored Bacharach. Not only did they offer to be there when we arrived and store our bags, they did something no other hote. all reviews »
Have had an eventful few days! Stayed with the lovely Rebecca Crosby and Gary Crosby at "Hotel bei der Post" in Bacharach, saw some beautiful castles (even one in the middle of the Rhine)! Had a great time drinking local beer and watching the soccer. Caught a ferry across to Rüdesheim and have fallen in love! Had real Rüdesheimer kaffee and waffeln at a very bayern-german restaurant while watching the snowfall outside. Our hotel room is gorgeous - so romantic and typical german. making a lot of.
We liked the owners who were helpful at all times nothing to much trouble breakfast was excellent the town is amazing like you just walked in a story book one of moselles hidden gems, room was clean,comfortable and clean bedding,towels every day,you are guranteed a relaxing stay here and will see how quiet and beautiful the hotel and surrounding area is you will not be disappointed, people come from all around europe and the usa..! to stay here.
Becky and Gary, our hosts, were quite friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They gave us many suggestions on things to do while in Bacharach/Steeg. We were glad that we had dinner at the pension. Becky did excellent job with our Jager Schnitzel and Vienna Style Schnitzel. It was excellent and plentiful.
Parking was free, so it was good too.
The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. They made our stay a joy. We are already planning a return for a biking trip.
You cannot beat the value and the breakfasts were hearty and delicious. We did not eat dinner here, but rumor has it that Becky makes an incredible Austrian Style Wiener Schnitzel.
Really friendly couple run this place and they work hard to give all their guests a very home from home relaxing stay. From sharing in depth local knowledge of castles to picking out the best local wine they will ensure your visit is a welcome into the Bacharach-Steeg community!.

Becky and Gary where fantastic hosts, couldn't have been more helpful. We had many great local travel tips from them and enjoyable conversation, it felt as if we were staying at a friend's house. A hard working couple who obviously enjoy what they do!.
Gary and Becky went out of their way to check us in early. My wife had a terrible migraine and they made up our room so she could
get some rest.So much appreciated.They were great as was breakfast.Room was cozy and comfortable.

The owners work very hard to make your stay a good experience. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, very good value and far better than a lot of bigger hotels.
This was one of the best places we stayed in four countries. The hotel
owners were very welcoming, friendly, and catering. We will definitely

Gary and Becky are amazing! 5 star service all the way around. Best
sleep, shower, and breakfast we've had during our two week Europe

Room was small, but it was well reflected in their room rates. It was not a big issue for us.
We knew that the pension was a 2Km walk from the train and this may be an issue for families or older couples but we enjoyed the relaxing walk. If you have a car, bikes or like to walk, this is a fantastic place to stay.
The house is in need of refreshing and is somewhat outdated but is kept very well slept well there!.

The WC for our room, though private (we had the key!) was outside our room, so not very convenient. But this is a minor niggle, particularly considering the very reasonable price.
Couldn't quite figure out the shower temperature controls, but
the room was clean and charming. Pretty far from the town center, but
my wife and I actually really enjoyed the walk. It depends on how
picky you are!.

If walking from Bacharach, it's a decent-long walk. Get a taxi for
about 8-10 Euros if you have lots of bags.
