Room was excellent--large, modern, beautifully decorated--with an outstanding view across the vineyards off the deck of the room of the hill town & cathedral of Saint Cirq Lapopie. Breathtaking view. The staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. Breakfast was superb. The shuttle service to Saint Cirq Lapopie was a wonderful service. Without question, one of the five most delightful hotels I've stayed in in the 18 countries we've visited.
all reviews » Great location with an awesome view. Nice large clean room. The grounds were well maintained and we made good use of the pool. Taking the hotel shuttle into town let me enjoy more than just a few glasses if wine with dinner. The hotel staff spoke and understood English. This made it really easy when checking in and out etc. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone passing through the area or making a special trip just to st cirq la popie. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and showed us our room in person. The room itself was lovely and decorated very well, with a very modern and unique bathroom design. It was clean and spacious, as well. The hotel has great views of St-Cirq, and has a beautiful vineyard and pool in front of it, too. There was also a shuttle that ran to the St-Cirq, which was nice, although my sister and I opted to drive (~5 m drive). This hotel is one of the amazing places we have stayed during our trip to France. The hotel is a true paradise. It is located in a beautifull setting, right in front of saint cirq lapopie - the most beautiful village in France we have visited. We had a room with terrace which has a private vineyard where you can pick the grapes right from the vine and eat it. The pictures speaks best for the hotel. Will definitely recommend!!. Terrace rooms lovely to sit out on of an evening . Definately worth a visit. Medieval town a delight. From the start to the finish(2days) the staff,suroundings and the facilities were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The courtesy bus to the village for dinner was a great bonus. It was just so peaceful. The hotel has a superb location, with a view of St Cirq La Popie across the river. Our room had a terrace set in a vineyard with a view of the town. The breakfast included excellent artisinal products including chestnut jam, elderberry jam and local cheeses. There are many attractive villages to explore within a day's drive. We liked everything. Charming hotel, perfectly clean, everything is done in good taste, service is excellent. The view from just about anywhere in the hotel is beautiful. We had reserved for one night but decided to stay for a second night. Nearby St-Cirq-Lapopie is a beautiful village with a score of excellent restaurants. My daughter and I stayed at the hotel one night -- we would have loved to stay longer! The setting was gorgeous and the room was comfortable and very attractive. I loved how the hotel supplied CDs of French music and a cd player. The views of Saint Cirq Lapopie from outside the hotel are amazing!. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but free and convenient transport into the local village to a choice of restaurants is ideal. Everything was very much perfect for me except it was 3~4 km away from St. Cirq Lapopie. There was nothing that I didn't like about this hotel. I'm sure it would be at least rated as a 4 star hotel if it had a restaurant on the grounds. I wish breakfast had been included! It looked tasty, but was 12,50 euros. The wifi was very poor, we could receive but not send. Signal very weak. Tea making facility in the room would be a nice improvement. Leaving... Our room was not the cheapest type but was still so small that we had to put one of our suitcases in the toilet and one standing on end in the cupboard. If we return, we will upgrade to a larger room. Nothing. Nothing much really. Bed was a bit hard, but I qualify this comment by saying that I often find hotel beds too hard!. Having to leave. That we couldn't stay longer. This hotel deserves a three day stay at the very least. Seems a bit crass but a TV in the room would have been nice. The shower was difficult to operate. The design in this case comes at the expense of comfort. - Due to the open concept for the bathtub, non-transparent curtains to the outside could maybe be appreciated by some people ? (we personnally didn't care so much). In our room the filet in a separate room with no ventilation. no restaurant on site and we were bussed over to village for very mediocre meals in both evenings. an 'eco'hotel so why a double size bath taking much water and peculiar shower arrangement. No remarks. No toilet seat on the toilet. No television. Lots of steps to get to room and no lift or porters to help with luggage. No kettle in room, meant a long walk outside to reception for a tea or coffee. Breakfast was very good but expensive for what it was. A lot of French hotels on letsbookhotel.com seem to exclude breakfast to keep the headline room price down and then really mark it up as an extra. wi-fi access was less than acceptable.... it needs to be improved. Bar shutting early. nothing. We Liked everything!. Nothing, possibly the price. No eating facilities other than breakfast. We looking for but no....found. Nothing. A bit distance from S.C.Lapopie and lack og eating places nearby.
