  It was a delightful 5 night stay at a good price. Quaint village and beautiful hotel in quiet garden setting. Nice room though 3 stories of stairs to climb. Host and hostess were wonderful and so helpful though limited in English. Breakfast was delicious each morning and so enjoyable. Would stay there again! - This was a great B&B. Ryes is a very small country town in Normandy but it is central to all the D-Day sights (most are within 1 hour drive) and you can go to a nearby town on Gold Beach for great restaurants by the sea. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are well appointed.

  Carole and Eric made us extremely welcome. They are a warm, welcoming, friendly and delightful couple with an equally delightful daughter. They attended to our every need and were very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The rooms are clean, breakfast is simple but wholesome and with as much as you like. The gardens are well kept and if the weather had been warmer it would have been wonderf - Intimate French setting. Being American, and wanting to experience a true feel of local France, we enjoyed the quiet remoteness of the location. The staff was very accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with homemade pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit and an array of beverages. Bathroom was large, almost larger than the room, with an area for hanging clothing and an in-room safe. Information regarding the surrounding area was provided in French and English.

  Arromanches is a great base of operations for exploring the Normandy Landing sites. With the remains of the Mulberry visible from the town, it sets the tone and peaks interest. The Brasserie du 6 Juin, just a long bl - very beautiful hotel! The room is like a 'private' smsll apartment. Cleanliness is great. You have also a private parking, very useful during the day, when Arromanches is starting to become croudy. The breakfast was essential but really good. I want to come back to this hotel one day....Arromanches os a place full of history and with a particular atmosphere!

  The location was excellent. The beach is around the corner and there's a grocery store, bakery, and amazing (expensive, though) restaurant just a block away. Our teen children loved the pool and the beach is beautiful. On-site parking is secure and free. The staff was very friendly and helpful.   This is our third stay at Hôtel d'Arromanches Pappagall and it gets better each time. We will be back again. My family of four booked two rooms for two nights in late February 2013. The rooms were comfortable, clean and centrally located. We were greeted warmly and the staff worked hard to please us. Visiting this hotel just for an overnight stay ... what people say » would be a very good idea for anyone, but you must try the food. The head chef is young, but he is oh-so-good. We've been to Europe 13 times in 14 yea - The owners were very friendly and took great care of us from the moment we walked in the door. The hotel is right at the heart of town, near the museum, beach, a great patisserie, shops and restaurants. Why go to another restaurant, though, when the best dinner we had on our trip was courtesy of the chef the inn hired for their restaurant. Chef Amaury is fantastic. The town is in a great location if you intend to go to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery.

  The fact the accommodation is literally a stones throw from Gold beach. Very thought provoking area, all D-day memorial sights are close by and kept beautiful and very busy. It's nice to see our heroes will never be forgotten. The lady at the apartments was lovely as well as the other guest. My only small negative would be the Wifi is only availab... what people say » le in the reception and is very slow - Charming stay, nice residence and very well equipped apartment. Good location for those who want to visit the DD landing beaches. The sea is just few metres and we also have enjoyed the beautiful weather.
