A really good stop-over hotel on our way to Dordogne. Would fully recommend a stay here and also do have the evening meal - a must!! Not at all expensive - 4 courses, including wine and all beautifully prepared. L'Oree de Giverny was a lovely B&B minutes from Monet's gardens in Giverny. Located by fast flowing river, we enjoyed the quiet and privacy. The village of Giverny can be very crowded during the day. We had a large bedroom and bath, with all the comforts of home. Our hosts the Werth's were very helpful and gave us good advice as to visiting the area and fixed a decious breakfast that featued local food. Visiting gardens was very special and our stay at L'Oree de Givery equally special!

This wonderful place was a terrific stop over driving from Belgium to Etretat. It is only about 30 minutes or so from Rouen. The lovely couple who own the property are so welcoming. They renovated the entire property to make a very charming home and chambres d'hotes in the peaceful countryside. Breakfast included delicious homemade breads and jams. Close to Giverny for Monet Garden visit. Very clean spacious room with nice garden. Owners were on holiday but Jacqui looked after us very well.We met her at the gate at 5pm punctually. Home made jams for bread and croissants for breakfast plus fruit and yoghurt. A lovely little complex with bikes available.

The location is excellent, elevated enough for superb views over town and northern cliffs , pleasant stroll into town, and walk round the front of hotel to the spectacular cliffs just to the south (a stiffish climb up the hillside !). Decent sized room and fair price for the honeypot small town of Etretat. Plenty of free on site parking. Walking around the town did not suggest that there were any other hotels of comparable quality.
